Shabby, Blingy and Silvery!!!

Hi Bloggerettes!  What's shakin?  What's new and uber fantastic?
I have always loved the shabby, worn and chippy stuff that is considered very chic in today's decor.  I guess I've always been a fashionista, and didn't know it!
I love finding boring looking brown wood frames and painting them white.  Then giving them that shabby, cottagey, romantic look.
How about filling a shabby wire wall basket with yummy looking shells, like this big natilus shell...

Another table that I painted white and shabbied a little.
Don't you love the swans head design?

I love botanical prints.  And when they are in a shabby white
frame, I love them more.

Now, I also like a little silvery, mirrored bling to go with the shabbied wood...

How about you?  Do you love shabby, blingy and silvery??

~~hugs~~

Oh I love the white and shabby! I have a print in a frame but I need to make it white. What color and kind of paint do you use? I wish I could do my whole house in shabby chic but DH isn't a fan...to girly!

Hi Sissy,
I looove anything shabby chic! If it's painted white & a bit chippy, I'm there! And I adore your swan table. So unique! My favorite are your botanical prints. I have always loved them, too. Guess we both have the same great taste! :)

I also love the shabby chic look. I owned a shop 20+ years ago where I sold white distressed furniture, chandeliers, vintage linens ect. I just didn't know then that the look would become so popular. Love the botanicals and your white frames.

Hi Sissie! Love that wonderful swan table! And of course, the beautiful white painted frames :) I found a gorgeous antique frame at Goodwill today; it's not perfect, but love the details of it. I'll be doing a post tomorrow about it :)

Sissie, thank you for the idea of shells in the wire basket. I've had one hanging on our bathroom wall for ages and have not known what to put in it! I have some large shells that won't fall through the wires! Perfect!

I love them, but you do them better than anyone else. That's yet another white table! You never told me how many you have in your house!

I still have three gilded frames I want to paint white because you showed me that the look is more in keeping with the crisp white mouldings in my house that I enjoy.

I do love all YOUR Shabbyness, Sissie. However, I guess I'm a ColorGal or maybe just a 'DirtyGal' cause white always ends up lookin' like...well...'Dirty'. Could be the West Texas Dirt, huh? That SwanTable is amazing!

adore every one, but the shabby botanicals make me all *swoony* lol.

Hello out there from your shabby, dusty, rusty, worn and torn and aged friend...I'm not about silver and bling as much as ancient and rustic and old as the hills stuff...but it has to have some fluff mixed with cute! I'm complicated, how about you?
It depends on the season of my life...I've gone from Victorian, to Southwestern, to art deco and back again. Now I'm living in full color Tuscan downstairs, cute as a button upstairs...take your pick. Life rolls on...come on over for a June Cupcake Walk...it's all about sweet...right up your alley and mine.
Love to you! ~Jacqueline~

What a beautiful site you have, Sissie! The prints and furniture are all spectacular as it is but I love the soft-focus pics and the overall romance of your page. Living with three men, there is never enough 'girly' stuff in my life. I have signed up to follow and will visit often for my girly fix! I will also see you on 'Where Blogggers Create 2'. Thanks for the inspiration!!
