Thrifty Finds!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I didn't have much luck at the yardsales this weekend but I did find something wonderful at Habitat's ReSale Store.  I arrived just as they were carrying it in the door and said,
"I'll take it!"  I didn't even know how much it cost, but I knew I
had to have it!

I just added a kingsize pillow with a sham, a small white pillow that I whipped up and a neckroll pillow.
Looks pretty sweet, don't you think?

Found this sweet little wooden stool and couldn't resist
taking it home for a song!

I wanted to create a very soft white cotton table runner and I wanted it to drape completely over the surface so it would be long and flowing. In fact it measures about 86 inches long. And, I didn't want it to be flimsy, so I doubled the fabric for extra sturdiness. I also added ruffles for a little flirtatious romance....

Wouldn't this be pretty paired with a burlap runner on an outdoor table. yes?

So be sure and stop by there and look at all the
other wonderful finds and creations.

~~hugs~~

Love the wicker! So, what was the price? Did you get a good deal? I agree with you about the yard sales being pitiful this weekend. I didn't have the good luck that I usually do.

Now see you're good. I get too excited. But . . . maybe just maybe I would've first ever so subtly (YEAH RIGHT!), while pinching myself said "I would like that please" and then I I would've texted my friend Joy with "START THE CAR!".
:) You always find the BEST STUFF!!! It's just too fun!

Sissie, that is the most wonderful find I have seen in ages...If I found such a sweet wicker piece I would not feel safe until I had in the van!!! You have it done so romantically and it looks perfect...comfy, too! I bet you go and just look at and think how lucky you are!! Can you imagine anyone giving up such a unique treasure????
Love how you made your runner and I agree, for outside with burlap over it, would be a lovely and unexpected twist...
Are you going to paint the little stool or put a little ruffly cover over it?
Hugs,
Jil

I know that little loveseat was thrilled it was going home with you! It knew you would do something special and that it would be loved AND you did!

If you get a chance drop by and look at my post from last Friday. I was out browsing and spotted a special tea set that I fell in love with, but when I first spotted it, I thought of you. Now I may be wrong, you tell me. (You'll know it when you see it.)

Hey Sissie girl,
I'm home, did you miss me??? I have about 10 of your posts to catch up on. It must have been hard riding that little pink bike home from the restore with that settee strapped to the back! Girl, they have some great thrifting in your neighborhood, you always score in a big way. You know how I love your burlap runners, so yes I can see it for outside. In fact, I'm getting my Paper Cowgirl post ready & I'm showing my kits for the class which were totally inspired by my sweet friend Sissie. They were all burlap (23 of them) all embellished differently with bling. I'll email when I post it. They really were dedicated to you!
Now go out & find some more goodies! Lisa
