Holding on to Favorite Things

Hi Bloggerettes!  Wanna see some more coastal decor.....I've been fooling around with these fish plates that I've had for years.  I found them at TJ Maxx around eight years ago.   Some things I just cannot
part with.
I bought the blue stemware glasses at least 15 years ago!

This lovely shell lidded bowl is a Fitz and Floyd piece from
many years ago

Of course as you know, I make table runners.  The two shown here are burlap and cotton.

Do you know that I absolutely love vintage or lovely linen
pillow shams?  I bought these in Savannah, Georgia
in a little shop on Front Street.  I paid an arm and leg for them but I had to have them!!  But, that was many years ago, so I have forgiven myself!

I mean, just look at the embroidery.  What linen lover could resist!

Notice how I keep saying that most of these items were bought many years ago.  I get attached to things.  Maybe that's why I've been married for 36 years!!!!   Are you that way?

                                          ~~ hugs ~~

Just to give you a heads up, Sissie, I am drafting a post that you will be mentioned in, along with a couple of the things you make {it goes with my theme for that post}.

I love linens too! Those are fabulous, and yes I hang on to things for a long time too. I have a hard time picking out things I would want to sell in my shop or at shows. I think of way too many reasons why I can't let go of stuff. Oh well, it's nice to know I'm in good company! :) Theresa

Yes Yes Yes!!! I save everything too. We just may need it one day. My husband picks on me because I store everything in my attic. He thinks one day it will all come crashing down. Lord I hope not. Have a great weekend my friend! Susie~

Wow, Sissie, I'm amazed that you manage to sew all the beautiful pillows and table runners with one arm and one leg only, ha, ha, ha. Well, that pillow is really beautiful and it's good that you have forgiven yourself. I get attatched to things as well and I don't think that this is a bad thing.
I would wish you a great weekend but I'm sure you'll come up with something pink tomorrow :-), so I just wish you a lovely Friday!

Morning Sissie! I adore that lidded shell bowl - just gorgeous; I am nuts for anything embroidered and those shams are sooo elegant/shabby! I read you are hoping to move back to WV! I moved to WV from New England and although I really miss NE when we talk about moving from WV we can't think of where else we want to go now! (even though my heart is near the coast!lol)The climate here is usually fantastic! I wish you luck in your future plans! Sincerely, Jeannette (thanks for your sweet comments on my freshening up post!)
