Making lovely things with confidence and encouragement from you!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I've been working on a special order for a customer.
She is a burlap and ruffle lover....my favorite kind.  She has a booth featuring french farmhouse furniture and wants to add some of my
burlap designs for her customers.

I am very flattered that she likes my work.  She asked for a light colored burlap runner and a brown burlap, both with ruffles.

She likes burlap pillows with ruffles that look kinda ragged and frayed....not hard to get with burlap since it ravels so easily.

I'm so in love with this birdcage, that I think I'll keep it for awhile...

I got this wonderful vintage clock from one of the booth owners at the shop......we just can't help buying from each other!

Won this sweet shell mirror from an ebay auction, love it!

I want to say that if it weren't for all of you, my sweet bloggerette sisters, I would not have the confidence to sell my work.  I can remember (pre blog days) I would have been a nervous wreck and would have been afraid to make something for re-sell.  Thank you all for your encouragement, your compliments and your friendship.

Also, thanks to my sweet friends at Miss Minnie's antiques who also encourage me and give me confidence to create lovely things to sale in my booth.

I feel so special to have you all in my life.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I'm tearing up now, so better go blow my nose!

Hi there Sissie,
The burlap and ruffles are amazing! I can so relate with you about getting up the confidence to sell your creations! I started selling on Etsy early this spring, and I was a nervous wreck! I remember wrapping & packing my first order, and my hands were actually shaking! Then I started blogging a short time later, and was a nervous wreck about that, too! I thought "who would want to read anything I had to write?!" thank goodness there are so many wonderful, supporting kindred spirits out there in blogland that are there to cheer each other on! I LOVE your shell mirror, by the way!

You do such beautiful work I cant believe you ever had reservations about selling. I want to set up an Etsy shoppe but kind of afraid to. I'll get there. Loooove the runners you make and that mirror is to die for. Stay cool, its 105 here today

You are such a doll Sissie! I was browsing your etsy shop a couple of days ago because I would like to get a runner. I went back today and it was sold! I can relate to the feelings of insecurity because that is how I was with my baking. It surprised me when people told me I should start selling my baked goods and then they told others about me and people started commissioning me to make cakes and other desserts for them. You are very talented so you just keep on creating! If you make it, we will buy it! ;)

I too would hold onto that birdcage. I love its shape and size. Love your shelled mirror.

You do such beautiful work and you are so sweet and fun to deal with! You also took gret care in packing my item. It was beautifully wrapped, too! I can relate to what you say about confidence and what Donna said in her comment. I've not started a blog yet thinking nobody will be interested in what I do and that it won't be good enough. I am in love with your burlap runners and love love love that ruffled pillow. Those will be my next purchases from you. You are a very talented woman! I enjoy your blog and seeing all your fun postings all done with class and a little bling!

I just love your burlap pillows and runners! I wish I knew how to sew so bad!!! I saw something the other night and thought of you! I was at Cracker Barrel and they had a birdcage lamp!!! It was beautiful and only $25.00!!! I wasn't crazy about the lamp shade though. The lampshade was made out of metal however! so could always be painted! The lamp was a nice big size too!

~Take care!

Love all your pretty things Sissie! Isn't burlap fun to work with, except for all the fuzz! It's funny when I buy burlap at the store whoever is working behind the counter usually ask me what I will be using the burlap for. When I tell them pillows, they are always shocked! I find it humorous.
What a sweet birdcage, I haven't seen one like that before.
Have a great evening!

Sissie my friend,
Of course the Farm style girls want your beauty in their space! What a perfect marriage, farmhouse & burlap pillows & runners. Hoped you marked them up! LOL That is what I love about blogging. The support & encouragement we get from each other. I remember the first piece of art I shared on my blog. I was so nervous. Then the response I got, it became addictive! Isn't that what it's all about? Building each other up, not being jealous or fighting over who did what first? You have always been the biggest cheerleader to me Sissie & I love you for it. Everything about you is beautiful to me, your creations, your home, your sweet smile, your funny stories. Lisa
PS I'm in a sentimental mood, can you tell?

Hi Sissie, I had to pop over to tell you that I found the same birdcage at Tuesday Morning! It IS beautiful! Right now it's sitting in my craft room, I'm thinking it may need a touch of pinky gold to highlight it... hmmmm. Thanks for the info on it! I had to go to two different stores to find it, but I squealed when I did! Suzie
