Pink Saturday Miracles

Hi Bloggerettes!  Today is a special Pink Saturday. We are joining
Kelee at the Katillac Shack  to celebrate Collette's recovery from cancer and to thank Guidepost for her room makeover.

Today I am burning a single candle and saying a prayer for each and every one of you and your loved ones who are experiencing difficult times.  I'm praying for your miracle.
A single rose to remind us of the beauty and joy in the world.
And for those who bring happiness to others through acts of
kindness.

A Pink Saturday to reflect joy, hope and love.

About my miracle....

My miracle is now 34 years old.  My son.  He was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 20.  He was facing a year of chemotherapy.
It was really hard.  It changed our lives completely and everyday brought new challenges.
During his first visit to the cancer center the doctor needed to do a bone marrow test.  A slither of bone is removed from the spine.
This is done without an anesthetic.
I could hear my son whimpering. He was trying so hard not to cry from the pain.

The tears started to run down my face and his Dads.
A young male nurse came over and got down on his knees in
front of us  and handed me a tissue.  He comforted us and told us that our son would be alright.  He spoke softly and had such a sweet gentle way of speaking.
As he spoke I started to feel as though everything was going to be alright.  It was though peace had come over me.
 My husband and I sat
there quietly holding hands and praying for our only child.

A week later we returned to the cancer center for my son's first round of chemo.  I asked about the nice male nurse who had been
so kind to us.
The female nurse on duty commented that the male nurse
had only worked that one day and she didn't know
if he was just filling-in for someone else or not. She said she didn't know him and he had never worked there before that day.

My husband and I just looked at each other.
We both knew that we had been visited by an angel.
I know this sounds crazy but I still believe to this day that he was indeed an angel who came to comfort us in our time of need.

Today my son is in remission from cancer.
He still suffers from crohns and other illnesses but his life is much improved.  We are working through this too.  We are thankful for every single day and we always face each day with faith and determination to fight each battle.  We are sure that another miracle will come along soon.

Thanks for letting me share my miracle.

Be sure to stop by Beverly's at How Sweet The Sound and read other pink posts.
Also go to Guidepost and leave a comment.
For every comment that you leave there $1.00 will be donated to help with future makeovers.

You are not crazy! That was an angel! I am amazed how many angels are walking the earth even today! "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this, some have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2 NASB
I am very honored to know you and to know that you would share this personal story with each of us. My God bless your beautiful family. Anne

Oh sissie this brought tears to my eyes...YIPPEE!! for your son..being cancer free myself now since 1994 I know how he feels...
I have to tell you right after my late husband died I was in a world of sorrow this mountain was not high enough to hold all my pain..one day while coming home from home I stopped by my church's yard sale as they were sitting it up and some lady came over to me and put an angel in my hand folded my hand over it and told me you need this my friend...when I open up my hand it was a PINK angel and it had my name on the front of it...shocked to say the least and at that point a big sorrow was lifted from my heart...when I asked the members from the church who that lady was no one knew her and never seen her again...she was just there to place that angle in my hand...so do I beleive in Angels you bet I do for I have been touched by one..Hope you have a GREAT weekend my Dear friend...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

I have no doubt that what you saw was indeed an angel. The story about your son and what you had to go thru must have been a heart breaker, but the news is perfect and I am so happy for all of you. There is nothing worse for a mother than to hear her son in pain. Thankyou so much for sharing this wonderful story of love. Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Miracle Party Sissie, Char

No, it doesn't sound crazy at all, Sissie. You were so blessed to have been visited by an angel in your time of need and I know he continues to watch over the three of you.

I remember the night before my mother's funeral. I cried myself to sleep. When I woke up the next morning I told my sister Mary of a dream I had, a voice as clear as day said, don't cry, Marsha, your mother is with me and she is happy. A total sense of peace came over me. My sister told me she saw my mother sitting down with a ray of light behind her and she was smiling.

Since that I day I have had total peace that my mother was home.

I also remember when I was living in Vancouver, WA I was leaving a dance studio. I was getting ready to make a left hand turn into cross traffic on a very busy street, BEFORE I could step on the brake to stop the car, my car stopped. I have never forgotten that!

Angels are among us, of that I have no doubt.

Have a wonderful weekend, Sissie!

Thanks so much for sharing your miracle story with all of us. Such a beautiful story! I definitely believe that there are people here on this earth that come into our lives and are our "angels" here on earth!!! This man was your angel, for sure! I am a cancer survivor and so is my youngest daughter!!! God is good and He has carried us through these hard times in our lives. We are both doing very well. We both have such a zest for life and we live each day to the fullest. Life is too precious not to. Love & blessings from NC!

Sweet Sissie, thanks for sharing your story, I just know that is part of how you have become such an encourager to others. I believe in your angel, when my daughter was first born and struggling to survive a gentle nurse came and comforted me late in the night. She said she knew of us through mutual friends. When I tried to track her down afterwards she did not exist, our mutual friends knew nothing of her. And the same thing, when she was with me I experienced unbelievable peace in the midst of sorrow. I knew then she was an angel! My daughter survived, she is 16 now and will be dependent on us her whole life, we are grateful for the sweet gift of her life.

Oh Sissie Sweetie...
Yes an angel amongst us here on earth was surely praying with you and your husband that very day. Like they say you should be kind to everyone as you never know who you are speaking to or sharing with.
Your miracle story is so beautiful, and I thank you for opening your heart and sharing with me today.

Please stop by my blog as well. I too am one of the (5) places that if comments are left it will be a $1.00 per comment for the next Miracle Makeover.

I shared Colette's journey with everyone, and have also introduced another angel in need of a miracle. Please stop by, and invite everyone you know. I too want to make as much money the makeovers as I can.

Many hugs and much love sweetie...Sherry

Oh Sissy your story is just so wonderful. The scriptures tells we will meet angels unaware of who they are. You have definately been one of those. I'm so happy to have so many sisters in Christ. Have a wonderful Miracle Weekend.

I believe that was an angel also. When I was in the depths of chemo I was in my bed afraid to go to sleep. I cried out to the Lord that I was scared and I tell you there were angels in my hallway watching over me. I will never forget it.

I have thought of your son in prayer & thoughts so often since we shared his & my issues together ...

Kelee did a beautiful job of bringing a smile to Colette ... tender sweet moments to share with all of us. Colette just tugs at your heart with that glistening that radiates from her.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Hi Sissie- This is my first visit to your lovely blog and I have been reading several posts. I had to leave a comment here because it so touched my heart. I too have gone through something and been visited by an angel in almost the same situation as you. There is not a doubt in my mind or heart that we have both been "touched by an angel". That is why I know that miracles do happen. Continued prayers for your son's remission

Chills and tears, that's what I experienced while reading this post. It took me back to a hospital room with my son many years ago. His cancer tests came back negative and the diagnosis was for something curable, but I know what you felt and my heart goes out to you and your family. I do believe you were visited by an angel, one who still watches over your son.

I had not planned on posting today, I have so much going on that I'm behind on my reading, but I believe I was sent here today to read this post. I told Colette's story and added the links to my blog. Thank you, I believe that we bloggers can make a difference in the lives of others by sharing and caring.

There truly are miracles going on all around us every day. We just have to open our hearts in acceptance.

Thank you for sharing this story with us. God must have placed this man there just when you needed him. We have a 34 year old son, and I know how hard it is to watch them suffer. We've had cancer in our family, too. I will keep you all in my prayers.
