Fluffin The Booth!

Hi Sweet Bloggerettes!  Well it's that time when those of us who are crazy enough to have booths, start fluffing, doing and rearranging!

We also are on the hunt constantly for new stuff, of which I haven't had much luck at finding lately.

However, I did find this cabinet at Habitat. It was a dark stained wood, which we all know cannot stay that way in Sissie's booth!  So out comes the chantilly lace paint from Benjamin Moore, the mouse sander and lots of elbow grease.

I'm calling this a French Farmhouse Cabinet, but a customer called it a jelly cabinet.  I like the french version the best.

I just love this little side table.  It's from the 60's when french provincial style was all the rage.  It's usually found in it's original paint that is a very drab mustard gold.  Ick!  Gotta a cure for that!

Life just would not be complete without a pink spot in my booth.
This does the trick.  Nothing is safe when I have a can of
Ballet Pink in my hands!
So what are you up to?  Fluffing, redoing, creating, making, writing, cooking or just relaxing.....????

~~hugs~~

Sissie, I think the pretty cabinet is called whatever you want. I like your version better, more romantic. HA!
You did a wonderful job of painting her and making her look so lovely.
I think your booth is wonderful and I am sure after it warms up a bit, you will find the treasures and peeps will be out. Char

Sissie, that cabinet is darling. Of course it couldn't be brown. Now way! I need an electric sander. So far I have done it all by hand. It has to be quicker with an electric one.

Oooh, I love that pink wire stand, Sissie! The pillows look great on it, too! I'm going to have to use a sander when I start on that little table and chairs set I found. Do your hands shake for hours afterward using that thing? I'm wondering if I should just do a quick sanding with sandpaper and then use Kilz 1,2,3 {which is supposed to be primer and "no sanding" in a can}.

Ah to commiserate with a fellow vendor! It can be so much work but I really enjoy it. It sounds like you have some work ahead of you. I hope you find some good treasures at the auction, maybe you'll get REALLY lucky and find things that don't need much of a transformation! Your little French cabinet looks perfect. I'm in the process of working on a little wooden trunk that is half green, half orange. A hideous color combo. Have a terrific week Sissie!

P.S. I am loving your perfect Imperfections booth too!

I love your pieces and especially the cabinet redo. You are one busy creative lady. I guess you get tired of me saying that all the time.
I am trying to get a giveaway going where I would give the winner a gift certificate to one of my followers shops. So of course yours would be a excellent choice for them to choose. I just have to figure how to do it but I need to get busy.
I have my grandmothers old bedroom suit I need to send you a picture and see if you think I could do to it what you did to this cabinet.
Love ya
Maggie

Everything is beautiful as always, Sissie. Your French farmhouse cabinet looks lovely. I just painted a little night table in Ballet Pink. Isn't that a sweet color? So feminine and soft. I thought of you while I was painting it.

Hi Sissie,
I love what you did with that cabinet. I can't even imagine it dark. It's really great, and I bet it'll get snatched up in no time. Too bad it's not me buying it!

Hope you're doing well, Sissie. I'm working full time right now and don't have enough time to devote to blogging, but I do make it a point to visit you and a few other special people. Take care!
