Vintage Inspired Booth

Hi Bloggerettes!   I want to show you this beautiful vintage crystal chandelier that Peggie found. It's at our Perfect Imperfections booth at Fancy Flea Antiques.  We have been fluffing it up today and
I want you to see all the lovely things we've been adding.
I wish that I had taken a before picture of this vintage wooden shelf.
It was the ugliest shade of green that you can imagine!
We painted it with several layers of paint, then sprayed on ceiling plaster, wiped it with stain and sanded over and over again. Whew, makes me tired just talking about it!
But, the end result is a great looking piece!

We added lots of vintage and some repurposed pretties...

Check out this sweet handmade vintage wooden birdhouse.
See the little birdie checking out the weather.

I guess you could say among my many passions and obsessions, that my booths at Miss Minnie's Antiques and Perfect Imperfections at Fancy Flea are at the top of my list.  I know they are for Peggie too and all of you that have booth or shops.
If you have thought about opening a booth and you aren't sure whether or not to take the plunge.  I say go for it!
You'll be glad you did.  It will reward you over and over again.
Not just monetarily but passionately!

Join Debra and the others there for some great Vintage stuff.

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Ceiling plaster?? I wish I could see that in person. Sounds like an interesting finish that won't look like every other painted white piece of furniture around.

The booth looks great. You have some really pretty things and The Touch with arranging them.

I love the chandelier! Very pretty. And I am wondering what the ceiling plaster does for a piece of furniture. I've never heard of that! Finally, I noticed the birdhouse right away. I want it!!! :-)

Your booth is displayed so well! You have a gift for layering. I'm learning how to "fluff" by your posts. The chandelier is beautiful! I bet it will be gone before the weekend is over.

Sissie, you have such a nice booth. I see so many at antique malls that just don't look nice like yours and I usually pass a lot of those up when they aren't appealing.

Sissie, You really know how to decorate a booth. Everything is beautiful! I'll have to try the spray on ceiling plaster. Does it give a look similar to Spackle but easier to apply on a large piece?
Hugs,
Sherry

Honey did we ever sit down and figure out how far your booth is from my front porch. I just love love your pretties.
Strange you showing the chandelier first thing because I woke up staring at one that I have been dying to re-do and I thought of you and how you might do it then I come over here and there you are showing us one. Spooky.....
Happens to me a lot in blogland.
I do though think of you often wishing we lived closer but girl friend if you saw my house today you would never ever want to come back to see me.
I guess I should close but I laughed about the comment you left about the kitty and the vaccum cleaner....great idea
Love ya
Maggie

That is interesting, that you used ceiling plaster to shabby up that bookcase. I think your bookcases at home would look marvy done up like this bookcase with those kinds of items on display. I was fluffing up the house today! LOl. Pink drapes gone for now...can't sit still. I so wish I had a booth I could focus on. Yours is gorgeous.

Your booth looks gorgeous! I sure love that chandelier! It would be great if you could tell us more about your paint technique using spray on ceiling plaster. I have never heard of this and I am very intrigued!

Your booth looks gorgeous, Sissie! Love that chandelier! I've been wanting to start an online shop, so hopefully that will fulfill my passion for all things vintage as much as your booths have. :)

Sissie, I do love that sweet birdhouse! Love the chandy too! The bookcase looks great; reminds me of my parents' last house they bought.
It was a beauty, with tons of character and had been built for a colonel. But the previous owners had painted the kitchen in, of all colours, the most horrible shade of green and black; yes, black! My mother performed her magic on it and turned it into a stunning room with soft aquas and pinks. It was beautiful! Amazing what a little paint and sweat can do! Thanks for sharing. It's always a pleasure to visit you. Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Sissie your chandy is awesome!! Your booth space is too!! I had just re worked my last week and someone came in and bought a few pieces of furniture so was running around trying to find more pieces to replace them with! I put way to much stuff in the booth so it takes alot of reworking to get it back in order-- love the sales though!!
