Fluffin up the house!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I'm so excited because Monday is the day that the maids come to clean my house from top to bottom! Yippee!!!  As you know our home is going on the market and it should be ready by Wednesday.

In the meantime, remember this chair I got at the auction......

It begged me to paint it....so I did....I gave it some glaze too, not too sure about it.
She's happy now.

I can't stop adding to this vingette in the corner of my dining room.
First, I painted the table, then added the shutters and other pretties and now I've added a pretty mirror.  I like it much better and I hope I can stop!  It's all your fault....you bloggers caused this!

While I'm at it, might as well show you the pretty pillows on my entryway bench.  This bench is the first piece of furniture that I bought for our home when it was built.

The pillow on the right was a birthday gift from my sweet friend, Peggie.

This is the entryway into our very open home.  And, before you say anything,  I know the rug doesn't really go with the colors, but I love it and don't know where else to put it.

I seem to be having a thing for crowns lately.  Um, wonder what's up with that!  Found this one at Tuesday Mornings.

I want to thank all of you for your sweet and kind comments about my home.  I've decided to go with all of you and keep it decorated the way it is.  I plan to de-personalize with photos and a few items, but for the most part it's going to still be me.

I'm so glad that you helped me make that decision.

You are all so adorable!

Since the chair cost me $5. and the mirror, $15. and I made the pink toile curtains and painted the side table.....I guess that qualifies me for Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays!

Okay, get out there and make, sew, bake, paint, repurpose, photograph or find something wonderful and share it with the rest of us!!!!

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Sissie- When I come to visit do NOT allow me to sit on that bench with those pillows...because when I get up to leave those babies will be underneath skirt and you will be looking at the biggest butt you ever saw...(I'm talking about the under-the-skirt pillows, by the way;>). Love your home, you know I do! xo Diana

Your house looks so pretty and I love that little grey pillow with the doily on it, wow!
My husband rolls his eyes when I tell him of my plan to paint everything white, I give all my blog friends the blame for that too...

Hi Sissie, Thanks for stopping by and I love your rug, I love the mix of things, I don't think everything has to be matchy matchy! Hard to believe I hadn't found you before! Guess it takes a blog party. By the way reviewing your wedding post I would say you are Not old as I was married in 1961 and I think of myself as Young at Heart and just gettin' betta" Hugs and have a great week! Marilou

Your house is going to fly off the market! I'm so excited for you. Where will you be moving??? did I miss something?

Now girly...about the weight loss.

It's hard. But so is watching people I love very, very much get sick and sicker because of weight related issues. I feel better than ever. If I wasn't so modest I'd show before and after pics. Maybe someday!

Love to you...love the rug!

I think you made the right decision to leave your home decorated while selling. A beautifully decorated home always helps it sell.

Perfect painted white chair... I've decided to paint one I purchased last year a pretty white thanks to your inspirations!

Sissie, where are you moving to? Locally? Are you just down-sizing?

If you have things you need to sell because they won't fit, email me first, okay? :)
