Odd Little Side Table...

Hi Bloggerettes!  I found this side table that was a dark wood stain.
I liked the looks of it, but honestly I have no idea why it has a storage compartment in the bowed front.  If any of you know what this is then I'd love to know.

I painted it a soft creamy green and added the clock face knob for some interest.

Made some garland from burlap and lace scraps....

I love adding to my clock collection...

It's going to be a lovely weekend here on the coast and I hope it is wherever you are too.  Hope you find something wonderful at a yard sale, estate sale or an auction.  If you do, remember we want to see it!!

~~hugs~~

  1. You are right, it's an odd little thing. But you made it look really cute! (I like the knob!). It's really unique. Are you selling it or is it a keeper?

You have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

  5. It is darling. I do think it is an old tobacco table. Is the inside lined at all? Really cute whatever it is! xo Diana

  6. I wonder if it is a sewing table, you know where the lady of the house keeps her needlework tucked away until she is sitting down and can get back to it? Whatever it is, it is cute! Love the clocks!

  12. Hey, Sissie! What a sweet table. I love the garland you made. We did a similar one for my daughter's wedding but the strips were longer. I really like the smaller, more compact look. This would be a great use for some of my scraps! Thanks for the inspiration!
