Up and Running.....

Well how-de-doo Bloggerettes!  Are you ready to get the Holiday Season up and running?  Yep, I thought so.  I've been waiting to show you this and it's a good thing Dianne at Miss Minnie's Antiques took a photo.....cause, it sold a few days after I took it into the shop!

I found this cutie at the auction.  It was painted a very bright blue, so what better to do than tone it down a little.  So I sanded away.  Painted the top and sides a creamy white and dry brushed the drawer fronts and the hardware.

I added these shutters to my livingroom....

Our entire family has been under the weather for the past several days but we did mange to have a nice Thanksgiving.  Hope you did too.

Miss Minnie's Antiques and Fancy Flea customers were buying like crazy yesterday.  So, now it's time to "fluff the booths!"

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Love what you did with the chest of drawers! It's gorgeous - I am not surprised it sold fast! The shutters look perfect! I hope your family gets well soon - our daughter is trying to catch something! It is hard when someone gets sick around this time of the year!
Hope you have a blessed week,
Kathy

That chest was pretty. I was thinking it was a little different painting than you usually do, more contrast. I love the color blue lately...and this chest looks great, so I guess that is why it sold! Glad you had brisk sales Sissie!

If I could get my new {to me} dresser to look like that, it would go in my master so well, Sissie! I may have to play with paint a bit, I think. Love the shutters, I'm looking for a pair myself. Hoping to find them today at my local place. I hope you are feeling better so you can fluff your booth. I'm sure this is just the beginning of the gift buying season at your place!

I could kick myself for passing some up a month or so ago. (had the hubby with me and well, I couldn't get EVERYTHING that I wanted!LOL) Have a fabulous day! t.xoxo

That chest of drawers is so amazing! I am sorry you were all under the weather! I felt awful Thanksgiving Day morning! Then I heard someone say Andrew is coming up the driveway with the baby!!! No more aches or pains for this happy Grand! I scooped that baby away from his mama and daddy and just melted into him! He is so cute! I need to post pictures!
You are one terrific lady! I love love love knowing you! Hugs Anne

Hi Sissie,

Sorry there has been illness in your family, but happy to hear you enjoyed your Thanksgiving in spite of it.

I like the dresser. It's hard to picture it a bright blue. I also like where you hung the shutter. What color was it when you bought it and what technique did you use for it? I love shutters!

Hugs,
Nancy

The chest is fabulous! I worked yesterday at our mall to help with the sale, we estimated 1500 shoppers all lined up! They don't pay us we just do it for fun and to help out! Hope you all are feeling better!

Hi Sissie, the chest is lovely and I just adore the shutters. We have some old ones in the attic that I have asked my husband to take down so I can redo them. He was hoping I had forgotten. Haha.

Hoping you feel better really soon!
