One of my Favorite Projects for 2011

Hi Bloggerettes.  I'm joining the party at Savvy Southern Style's Wow Us Wednesdays and showing my favorite project for 2011.

It is without a doubt, hands down.....the redo of my entryway bombay chest.

It went from this.......

To this.....
Painted gray with a mocha glaze....

Then I added these shutters found for $5. each....

The finished look....

I have several favorite projects for 2011 but this one I think I can live with for awhile....well at least until I get another idea from you bloggers!

Be sure and stop by Savvy Southern Style's Wow Us Wednesdays and check out all the good stuff.   I'm also joining the parties at Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays !  Lots of good stuff going over there too.  And, Ivy and Elephants What's It Wednesdays!

Sissie, thank you SO much for visiting my long-lost blog! Your blog is one of my very favorites and I've missed reading it. Can't wait to catch up and see what all you've been up to. As I read I always wish you lived next door! I would love to take lessons from you as well as have you come over and completely redecorate my house! None of my friends like DIY and are not into decorating. They also don't like to visit antique shops, thrift stores, flea markets, etc. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???? Thankfully my husband doesn't mind though and will usually gladly go with me. Still I wish I had a "girl" friend that would share these fun things with me. I keep trying to convert one of them but haven't managed to do so yet. Well, here's hoping you and yours have a very blessed 2012...and I look forward to visiting you many times and hope you will do the same.

That is gorgeous, but you have done 100's of gorgeous projects this year! I have a 90's entry cabinet that is on my to do list too. My son left this morning and won't be home until about midnight so I am using my nervous energy to visit my friends. I am looking forward to getting back to our regularly scheduled programing of projects!

So awesome, Sissie! I like this one, too. But it's really hard to pick a favorite project you've done. You've accomplished so much over the year. Thanks for sharing everything you've done; it has been fun to see!

What a beautiful makeover! You have solved a problem that I had. I have a miniature chest that I wanted to paint but the handles don't come off and I kept putting it off thinking of all the fiddly going around them with the paintbrush I would have to do. Now that I see that you have painted yours, that's what I'll do. Problem solved. Thanks a million!

Beautiful honey. Well your piece is safe if you wait on me for ideas. hahahaha
You would be proud of me though I am redoing the upstairs to make it into a bedroom. What a challenge I am having with how to do it right.
Just had to come by and wish you a very Happy New Year
Love ya

Hi sissie I love the redo, make over, before and after :)
What a great up date I am sure you pass by it in awwwww!

As I do when I pass by the chest I made over of my daughters in her bedroom. She wanted the stenciled look gone and was tired of the dated european look it had.

Come for a visit and check out my redo :)
xx
Happy New Year
