One thing just might lead to another....

Does this ever happen to y'all.....don't know why I'm asking because I know it does.
I spied this on my recent shopping spree.....
I love these garden seats.  The price was right and the color is what I call a Paris Gray....and one thing led to another.

I do not have this color in my home, but I so love it.  I can make it work I told myself, oh yes I can.
So this led to this....

Soft creamy ivory pillows with a silky paris gray long pillow with a bit of bling....

Paris Gray, soft creams and yellows go together, right?

I remembered I had these little beads.  They look great with Ness's tags.

And, of course, another paris gray pillow....

Oh yeah, things are starting to look up....
just another pillow will do...

What do you think, is the paris gray working or not?
These items are on standby until you approve, that is if I haven't changed my mind by tomorrow!
So now you see how one thing can lead to another....and another....and another....
Don't worry, Mr. Sissie never notices until several months down the road, sometimes years!

I also placed my new found vintage mirror against the shelf.
I'm not sure how long it will stay there....

I submitted photos of my livingroom to Betsy Speert's Tuesday design questions.
If you missed her post you can catch up on it here.
She reviewed my room and gave suggestions on what she would do to improve the room. One thing she suggested was to add more stuff to the bookshelves and to include some artwork.  I'm workin on it!  I'll be sharing some of her ideas soon.

Later gators...

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Sissie...
I know your quandry, SO WELL. I do exactly the same thing...actually I'm doing it now to *my* room. It's always a redo, huh? Or, an add too.
This is how I test if it stays or goes: I put and place, then leave the room, if I keep going back in and out of the room..... "looking", "wondering", "thinking", *pondering", "supposing",it's pretty much a given that it's NOT right. And, I do so try to like what ever it is I've just created.
BUT: If I leave it well enough alone....it's a done deal. I love it and it stays. That's my test and it works every time. I think your grey is lovely, but..... only YOU know! xoso Sandy

I love that color, did not know it was Paris Grey, a great blue grey. I need you to stand back and take a picture. I can't wait to see what everyone says, I would love to add a little grey to my pink and white and I was wondering how it would work with my green walls....hummm

Hello,
I've been reading your blog for some time, but have never commented...the new look inspired me to do so.
I think it all works beautifully. I think the grey broke up the white, in a wonderful soft way. Love the new seat/stool and the pillows are gorgeous. I agree a few more books, etc., would make the shelf pop more. Good luck!

Oh, Lordy Mercy, Sissie girl...I have been dreaming of Paris Gray. I have a black chest that is just crying for a new paint delight and I thought I heard it whisper PARIS GRAY as I walked past it this morning. So, I am thinking now, since you are showing me all this Paris Gray, it MUST be a sign....don't ya think? I am pretty sure YOU get those signs, too. :)))))

I'm not a "gray" person but this really looks pretty. Once again your magic touch! And yes...just this week one thing led to another. I cleaned out some craft supplies and had some left over that wouldn't fit which made me clean out a drawer for the leftovers which led me to clean out another drawer to put some things from the first drawer which made me organize a closet with things I found in the second drawer....and now every closet and drawer in my house has been reorganized:)

Your colors are exactly what we're looking to do in my daughter's room. We've started a box. Whenever we find a pillow or drapes or a picture frame or whatever that works with new color scheme, we stick it in the box. It's so soothing.

Wow!! Your room is simply gorgeous and I love the touches of gray. I've never seen a garden stool like that and I love it. I just have a plain white one.

Hi Sissie, I think the Paris gray looks right at home. You were so smart to pick up that garden stool. (I passed on one awhile back and regret it.)

Hello beautiful! The addition of the Paris Gray is perfect. It really balances your room and goes nicely with the vintage green pottery that you have on your shelf. These colors remind me of old sea glass that can be found on the beach.

Your home is gorgeous and so clean!!
