Toile in the living room.....

Oh my goodness....somebody stop me!!!  Remember when I showed you this little garden stool...

I said that one thing leads to another and I was still trying to decide if I liked this color in my living room...
Well, one thing leads to another.....like the creme colored panels that I made and hung....
Did I stop there.....oh no!......I've had my eyes on this toile fabric forevah!  I ordered three yards just to see.  I made one panel and I love it..........

Now the dilemma....should I keep the creme colored with the toile?
When I look at the photos I'm thinking that it's too much.
This is where you decorating divas come in.....should I use the toile panel alone?   Amy?  Kathy? Kim?

Now....on to this.......I saw this and knew it would be perfect....that is of course, if I decide to keep this color scheme going.....

Shut. Up.....this is cute!

Remember, the toile panel is missing in this photo.  I'm waiting on the fabric.....

So there you have it..... More changes in the livingroom.
There is more going on inside the bookshelves too.  I plan to show you that later.

Okay, that's it.  Get out there this week and make, sew, photograph, write, paint, re purpose and find something wonderful and share it with all of us.

~~hugs~~
Sissie

love love love the toile panels, but I would hang them alone. Sissie they look gorgeous in your living room!! Love the color too!

I LOVE that rug, Sissie! It looks great in front of the gray chest. I love how the wire cloche design is picked up in the rug. That is a great toile fabric! If you want to try them together, I'd try the white on the inside, basically the opposite of the layout you have showing. Otherwise, if you can use the white panels somewhere else, the toile fabric will take center stage.

Where is the grey chest in relation to your living room picture? The white panels might look good over in that area, but I know you have an open lay-out like me, Sissie.

Although I like it both ways, I think I like it best without the solid panel. Of course, decorator extraordinaire I am NOT:)

I am going CRAZY for that fabric!! GORGEOUS! I have been thinking about introducing that very same color in my own living room (and dining room too!! ) what's the name of the fabric?? As for the cream panel...i think that fabric commands the stage all by its' lovely self!! sigh....

Well, being a toile lover myself, I LOVE the panel! I would hang it alone. I love the rug too and how sweet it is front of the chest and the way it relates to the black wire cloche! Gorgeous!

I would love to know the maker and the name of the toile fabric. I love the room. Such soothing colors.

I was hoping you would do this spa blue in your home!! I LOVE this toile Sissie!! I picked it out for my sisters KC house and you can see the custom treatment I did in her turreted breakfast room in my portfolio on my blog. I think they are fabulous alone~the white doesn't relate to the panels, so I would eliminate them. I am loving the lacey looking rug and doesn't this blue look pretty with the grey chest in the front hall?! Super.

I think the fabric is pretty too--but if you think it is too much maybe you should stick with what you are feeling. It may grow on you though! I think the little rug is adorable!

Oh Sissie, you did a lovely job on the toile curtains. They look great all on their own.

Sissie, I agree with all the others that the fabric is so beautiful that it deserves to shine on its own. As I've said many times, your ability to make things beautiful never ceases to amaze me. Your home is lovely as it is, so I can't wait to see the finished project. ------- Shannon

Hi Sissie Sweetie...
Oh what a gorgeous share. I love the toille panel alone actually. It really pops, especially with your gorgeous floors. So pretty.

Love the new rug as well. Is it ever gorgeous with your chest. Of course Gabby is pretty cute perched up there as well. Love her little face. She looks so soft.

Have a glorious weekend sweet friend. A beautiful share, and can't wait to see what you do with your drapes. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I like both the cream panels and the toile panel too ~ hmmmmm ~ perhaps use the toile as a Valance in-between the cream panels? Try just draping the toile panel over the rod between the cream panels, then step back and take a look, so you can get a "feel" for how it would look as a Valance?

The rug is so cute! Love it!

Warmest hugs, Brenda

Hey Sissie,

The toile is heavenly, i'm such a Ho for pretty soft toiles though. At first i liked them together, and then, it seemed maybe the white should be on the inside...but after staring at the photos a while, i agree they maybe should be separate. You know, the white was pretty too, and really lifted the eye up and lightened the room... but the toile is so beautiful, and really has colors in it that pull together the whole room... Both, Gorgeous! But the toile is irresistible!

Morning...
I think you have your answer...looks to me like most everyone thinks you should have ONLY the toile... I tend to agree. Simplicity! Are you still doubting the colors? Too me it seems you are moving forward with your color choices....it's all looking beautiful. It's the deal "what's NOT to like". Pretty pretty! Have a fun filled day *putting and placing*.

O My
you done did it now... LOVE IT
Love the toile drapes
Love the luxury of the silk panels
Love how it softens and heightens the room
Love the "cant decide" french market spa blue garden stool, bombay chest and now the rug, yum

Now will you come make some decisions for me? ;)) I am living in these 4 walls way too many hours of the day to get a perspective anymore. So much easier for others

So hate me for suggestioning or hate me because I know not what your are thinking in the future...what do you think about exchanging places of the white silk and toile? It will create for a wider window/door option if you decide to keep both.

Best to you miss siss(y)

Hey--Its Cheri from Its So Very Cheri.

BEAUTIFUL. Love the rug and so many other elements in your room.

Another option would be to have the solid curtains hanging on the inside rather than the outside.

Take a picture with just the print by itself. Take another with the solid inside. Then you can compare the looks and decide what fits your style best.

That toile fabric is GORGEOUS!! I would let them stand alone without the cream panels. My philosophy is you can never go wrong with what you Love! The rug is perfect with the blue chest.

I adore toile anything, and your new panels are just gorgeous! I vote to hang them by themselves, they deserve to shine! And the rug is perfect. Yes, one thing does indeed call for another!!

You didn't ask me and I am no decorating diva..but..I like it. However you cannot see the shutter and I love that along side the new curtain. Either way..so..no decision here. :) Besides, YOU are the one we look to for this sort of decision making. Whatever you do will be adorable. Try just the toile and see how you like it.
Hugs to you, Sissie. Decorating can be daunting no matter how good you are I guess. And you ARE good!!!
