My Sweet Little Alice Pink Gown....

My sweet little Alice Blue Pink Gown...

In my sweet little Alice blue pink gown...
I was so proud inside....
As I felt every eye...

And in every shop window I primped...
passing by.
A new manner of fashion I'd found...
And the world seemed to smile all around.
'Til it wilted I wore it...
I'll always adore it...
My sweet little Alice blue pink gown!

The song lyrics are from the Broadway Play "Irene."
I saw it in New York many years ago.
I'll never forget how beautiful Debbie Reynolds was and the excitement of seeing my first Broadway Play.

Found this sweet vintage gown at the thrift store.  Put her on the mannequin and she came back to life.

~~hugs~~
Sissie

That is just adorable. I never saw Debbie Reynolds but I did see Julie Andrews when she was young and it has stuck with me always, too. I love that you were able to find this and display it. What a memory keeper! xo Diana
