Creative Mood Results....

I got in a creative mood today and came up with linen hand towels and two pillows and of course...I found something wonderful!

The hand towels are made from vintage pillow slips that were in good condition on one side only. So, I cut them in half and used the good side... added this wonderful Paris floral image. {iron on image from Etsy Shop Whit and Whimsy Studio}  I stitched a hem all the way around the pillow slip leaving the pretty lace.  The result is this...

What could be more French than a Paris Flea Market Basket....
Serious love here.....

Remember the wonderful vintage sheets I found at Habitat Restore?
I used one to make this pillow.  I added some vintage crocheted lace, a vintage rhinestone brooch....and instant sweetness!

This pillow is made from a vintage tablecloth.  All it needed was a little image to sweeten it up a little...

Okay, that's it.  Time to go fluff up the booth.
Be sure and start your week out by creating, painting, sewing, photographing, writing....or whatever makes you happy! And, if you found something wonderful over the weekend....share it with us!

And most of all...

"Keep Calm and Carry On!"

~~hugs~~

Sissie

Oh Sissy you are truly the pillow queen!!! They are all so lovely- love love the one with the crochet trim and vintage brooch.

The towels are simply lovely too! I am sure you have told us how you do the graphics but am wondering if you could remind me which technique you use. I am wanting to do a graphic on my craft chair but have never done any graphic transferring and am not sure which is the best way. Would love your imput if you have a wee bit of time!

Sissie~
LOVE your tea towels!!
Creative minds think alike!
I love "iron on images". They are so great. I buy sheets and pillow cases from the thrift shops and make all sorts of things out of them. They are also great for "backing" things. They give "added strength" to antique fabrics.
Thanks for sharing your lovely creations.
Will visit again soon!

Gorgeous, as usual! My mother tried to teach both my sister and me to sew when we were growing up but unfortunately neither of us got proficient at it. Now I can barely sew on a button! Sure wish I had tried harder.

Once again, you make pretty out of the simplest thing... I love the way you "get" the fabulousness of old linens, and bring them back to life.. you're amazing!

Everything is so pretty as always. Those vintage linens were certainly a score! Good thing you didn't let that lady talk you out of them because they would need to be washed!
