Rust Love!

Found her in a pile of rusty junk.  Most would not even dare put their hands in to pull her out....but I had been thinking about this creation for a very long time.  So, I dove in and rescued her.  Underneath the nasty strings, cobwebs and dirt was this beautiful rust, the rust of all rust, the goldmine of rust....I had to have her.

I asked the lady the price and she looked at me rather oddly and said, "honey you must be an artist to want this old thing, so I'll just give it to you."

Hard to put a price on yummy rust!  I cut the strings and loose wires and gave it a light sanding being careful to preserve the rust.

I then wrapped it with burlap ribbon, tied a bow and gave it a little vintage brooch and there she it....all gussied up and looking happy.

Next I went around trying her on some lamps.  She loved it.

Now I know this look isn't for everyone, but I think there are quite a few of you bloggers who adore rest, metal and burlap....three
essential elements of survival!

As you can see it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Now, it's your turn to show me what you've created.  Please tell me all about it.  And in the meantime get out there and write, create, paint, cook, sew, repurpose and find something wonderful and show it to all of us!

~~hugs~~
Sissie
