Finds that didn't ask for much

Did you ever run across something that just calls your name and it's usually when you least expect it? What kind of question was that!!! Of course you do.  I almost forgot that we all share the same obsessions for finding good stuff!!
My sister and I went to the local flea market this weekend and we just kept finding wonderful things.  It was one of those rare days when you can't help but feel as though the junking gods have smiled upon you.  And the best part is that those finds weren't asking for much.

These chippy, peely old cabinet doors backed with rusty chickenwire said take me home.....

All they asked for was a burlap bow...
They are now safe and happy in my booth waiting for a new home.

But wait there's more!  As I was turning the corner thinking it couldn't get any better I came upon this.  All it asked for was some Heirloom White paint and to be called a "bed crown!"  Holly royal highness...I'll call you anything you want if you'll be mine....

Look closely and you can see a little bit of my new granite tops.  I'll show you more of my revamped kitchen soon.

I didn't get to enjoy the little bed crown for long.  It sold the next day.

See you sweeties later!

                                              ~~hugs~~

Sometimes all they ask is that you pick them up and give them a chance. You have done well to listen and do just that!

That bed crown is such a good idea--I love it, and I have it! I have it hanging high in my craft area with some pretties on it. Got it for 2.99 at Goodwill.

How are your kitties doing with the move?

Love those kind of days!!! Did you think oh crap, I should have charged more for the bed crown? That is what I always think when something sell to quickly! What a simple idea for old windows!

Great finds, Sissie! It's always wonderful when you can find something that doesn't need a total overhaul. Or in the case of those chicken wire doors, none. Love that shelf/bed crown piece. I'm not surprised it went fast! Can't wait to see your kitchen. At some point we are going to have to redo our counter and I had always wanted to go with granite. We had corian in our old house.
