Loving Toile....

Hello Sweeties.  I'm in a toile kinda mood.  I love toile fabric and when I saw this print at Hobby Lobby I knew I'd have to have a yard or two.  This time though it didn't end up in the "stash."  Don't laugh cause I know y'all got stashes...you know who you are.

The kitchen eating area is kinda small.  So I just have room for two chairs.  The movers broke one of these chairs so one will have to find it's home in another room.  Isn't this toile fabric devine????
This is the table I ordered from Pottery Barn.  It's called the Shayne drop leaf and it's perfect for a smaller eating area.  The sides drop down and there are two shelves for baskets and linens.
The kitchen is still a work in progress but it's coming together slowly.  While the rest of the house is still in utter chaos, the kitchen is starting to look like home.

I hope to show you more.  But probably not until  the master bathroom remodel is completed.  The new off white living room carpet was put down last week and it looked so pretty....that is until Miss Gizzy decided to gobble down her food and then upchuck.....you guessed it.....right on the brand new white carpet!

I have tired and tired to remove the stain but nothing doing.  Now, I'll be calling Stanley Steamer to see what they can do.  Oh well, life goes on and who could ever get mad at this sweet face.

That's all I have for you right now so until the next time do what you do best and share it with all of us.

                                        ~~hugs~~

"Folex" it will get the stain out! I promise... you can get it at Lowes or Food Lion, it's wonderful!
I LOVE your toile chairs, oh my gosh, now i have to go to Hobby Lobby this weekend! That IS fabulous toile! Your table is adorable, perfect. I'm so excited because your house is already looking so so cute!
And of course Gizzy barfed on your fresh new white carpet, there can be a sea of hardwood floors and vinyl, and every single animal, every single time will barf on the new rug.

Stash? What stash? Nothing to see here. Just move along, please. lol I love the fabric, and could see adding a little from our brand, spankin' new Hobby Lobby here in North Port!

Sorry about your brand new carpet. I hope it doesn't require a serious furniture rearrangement and that SS gets the stain out.

Can't wait to see your big reveal!!!

I love your eating area--love the toile and the chairs. The chairs kinda remind me of some Cindy just posted about. I want to find some like that! :)

I hate it when a cat leaves something on new white carpet! I have used hydrogen peroxide and it has worked great for me.

Your toile fabric is quite beautiful! I love the colors!! The white pottery barn table looks beautiful! I too, love white carpet...when I built my home in '96, my family room had creamy-white carpet...it was totally replaced 5 yrs later when my poodle Phoebe decided to get sick one day.....it looked like cow hide...white with BLACK spots all over...13 of them to be exact. (destroyed) I received wood floors much sooner than expected! (lol) Have a wonderful weekend! Roxie

I love toile, and yours is gorgeous! Love those beautiful chairs too. Too bad the movers weren't too kind to one of them! Poor Gizzy! The same exact thing happened right after we had our light carpet put down in the living/dining room, and Emily decided she had an upset tummy. Thank goodness the stain came out!!

LOVE TOILE, Sissie! It makes my heart go pitter-pat! Doesn't matter what colour it is either, I just adore it. Your chair is darling and I love your new table! What a wonderful piece! And oh, your poor Gizzy! Too much excitement all at once maybe. It is too bad she decided to get sick on your new carpet though. I'm sure you'll find a way to get it out. Looking forward to more pictures. Have a super weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi, Sissy, love your blog and all your decorating ideas. We have a kitty named Sabrina and her nickname is "barf cat" since she loves to upchuck all over the house. We've found that Nature's Miracle (sold at pet stores) will take out all those spots and if there is anything left behind Folex will finish it up. Jenn

Sissie,
I know what you mean! My kitchen is still not completed. All the major stuff is done.... drywall hung, new cabinets and stainless appliances installed, wood floor layed, etc. With that said.... I still have a lot to do. The trim work, counters, sink, lighting, etc. It seams the painting never ends.
I love the photos of your white kitchen. I chose white, too.
I've always loved toile (and ticking). I have several pieces in my stash. I have a beautiful pink toile that I love and can't bare to cut into.
I always enjoy my visits here.
Will visit again soon.

Had to come see how your new digs are coming along. That toile is soooo dreamy.
Your Gizzies is just too darling..makes me miss my Chloe girl so much. I keep cans of Spot Shot..a pressuized spray and it has cleaned up many a kitty throw up on light carpet. I get mine at Targrt..also Pinterest has had some great carpet cleaning ideas too. Hope this may help.

Big hugs..
Lorena
