Bathroom remodel before and after

Okay, I'm ready to show you our new remodeled master bathroom!

Before...
This is the way the master bath looked before and how it  was decorated by the previous owners...

The entire room was gutted.  We removed the big garden tub and two walls that separated the toilet and small (very small) shower.
We ended up replacing everything.

I wanted a vintage/cottage feel and I think we achieved it.

Here's the after....

I know that the toilet area isn't the loveliest part of the bath but to me this one is just plain purdy....
We gave up the never used tub for a big walk in shower....I love the white subway tiles...

The double vanities are the perfect size and the beadboard walls add the perfect vintage cottage look that I wanted.

Living through a remodel was not a pleasant experience and I can't say that I'll ever do it again.  I'm glad that it's over and we are very happy with the results.  Sometimes you just gotta do whatcha gotta do!

                                           ~~hugs~~

Your bathroom looks so cottagey! I love the beadboard and the little table you used for the toilet paper is just adorable and very creative. I am currently doing a kitchen and bathroom remodel at the same time, talk about insanity! I'm trying to achieve a cottage vintage feel also and hope to do as good as you have. Well done!

It looks fantastic! I'm with you; I'd rather have a nice shower than a tub any day. Love the subway tiles and beadboard. We have used both in our home, too.

Sissie, your bath makeover is wonderful. I like the white subway tiles; love the vanities too, and especially the bead board! Looks great and I'm happy for you that it's finished. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, including the kitties!

It's beautiful, Sissie! I love everything you did and you made some smart choices, too. You've made it look bigger too by removing that wall and getting rid of the tub. We had a huge walk-in shower in our master at the old house. The one here isn't bad in size, but it's funny how you get used to a larger one pretty quickly. : )

I love what you have done with your new home. I have been watching as you take each room and make it you, just special. I think my favorite in your bathroom is that new shower, I am not a tub person and your shower looks just perfect. Thank you for your visit. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you're using? I'm
looking to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something
completely unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

Well I see what you've been doing while I've been away! OMygoodness how I love that bathroom. Of course I could never get away with it here because with would have little yellow dots around that pristine white tile if you know what I mean. I love the idea of tossing the tub for that walk-in, we don't use ours either. Love the PB basket too. Was it $$$?
Your Christmas decorations are beautiful, all of it is. I wish you the merriest Christmas ever my friend.
