Bucket and Lamp Shades...

Wanna see a few projects I've been creating for my booth.....
I thought so.....

Took an old rusty galvanized bucket and gave it some burlap glam.
Gave a tired lamp shade the Sissified treatment using lots of vintage ribbon, doilies and lace.  Mine aren't as pretty as Rebecca's at A Gathering of Thoughts.  She makes everything she touches absolutely gorgeous.

These are fun to make but like Rebecca says, very time consuming.

Paperwork has delayed the closing on our house, but it should happen soon.  We are officially all moved out, everything is in storage and we will start building our new home soon.

I want to thank all of you for your sweet message and comments, for your well wishes and encouragement.  You all mean so very much to me.
I gotta say I'm so glad that all of this is behind us and we are now moving forward!

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Darling project, Sissie. I am thrilled that your house has sold but sorry the sale is delayed. It is always worrisome until the closing actually happens.

I love the lampshade and know Rebecca says they are very time consuming...but SOOOO worth the effort- xo Diana

Oh Sissie, they are beautiful! You are such an inspiration for me. I have a old galvanized bucket and some shades that would look beautiful with the "Sissified" treatment. I'm so happy that things are finally coming together for you. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Gail

I must have missed a post, Sissie...I didn't know you had decided to build! Good for you! And good luck!

I love the lampshades, very pretty. Now, you need to do a post on how to make a pretty bow like yours. Mine are awful!

So happy your house sold, and you are on your way to building a new one, Sissie.
The shades are as sweet as can be.
I really love those garlands you made for your booth in your last post. So much so, that I made some myself(I hope you don't mind that I used your idea).
You are always an inspiration to me, Sissie.
Enjoy your weekend!
