What's selling in my booth and what's not.

Some say pink has lost its popularity....but not for me and not for many of you.
I used to have lots of pink in my booth but within the last few years pink has not been a good seller.  Today's customers gravitate to neutrals and softer textured fabrics.  I suppose that it will come back one day but for now it has taken a back seat.

However, I still love using it in my home.  Which is why
I added this soft pink bow to a white chenille pillow and the results are soft, romantic and perfect for all white bedding in the guestroom.  So this one will stay with me.

Burlap...

Burlap is still a good seller but it appears to be wanning somewhat.  Burlap pillows used to sell like hot cakes but are now not as popular.  This pillow has been in my booth for two months and still hasn't sold.

I saw this idea on Pinterest (Timewashed.com) and thought I'd give it a try.  Crystal salt and pepper shakers made into pretty tree ornaments...
I put mini trees inside these.  I'll be selling these in my booth.

Other items that went to my booth are these
twig balls.  I added bows and wire for hanging.

I love these enamel strainers filled with greenery and red and white
ornaments.

Well, I'm signing off to head back to the work room.  I still need to create lots more before our open house.  I'm hoping these items will sell, but who knows.

In the meantime y'all get out there and create, make, sew, photograph, write, bake.....whatever your heart's desire.
And, be sure to share it with all of us.

~~hugs~~
Sissie

I love the pink but it is not a good seller here, either. Creams and neutrals seem to be IT right now. I think burlap has been waning in popularity for a few months now. Things come and go, don't they? When I first started blogging the book page wreaths were all the rage...now you rarely see them. At least with burlap and that sort of thing most people have not made a major investment so it is a small loss. Pretty soon the aisle of GW will be filled with last years passions. xo Diana

I still love pink, too, Sissie! I probably wear it more than I decorate with it, which has always been my way anyway. Love both your pillows. I'm sure it will be interesting to see what people gravitate to at your booth this holiday season.

So many pretties! I still like using pink in my home, too. As a shop dealer, it's so hard to figure what's going to sell and what's not at times. This is definitely the time for Christmasy items!

I still like pink. I only have two pink pieces of clothing but I like it. I saw some pine cones painted pink the other day with ribbons and they were so sweet. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Interesting post Sissie! I still love pink as I think that most women do, but definitely trends change and I too see (and sell) way less of it. Good luck with your booth sales this holiday season...

That pillow with the soft pink bow is just too wonderful. What a perfect color texture combination. It's interesting to hear what is selling and what isn't too. I love the little twig balls, they are so charming. Glad to see you are creating like crazy again!

Sissie..all of those are adorable..the pillow is the cutest burlap one I have ever seen. Amazing that it didn't sell..but "craze's" come and go quickly with we who decorate. Well, not me. I'm planning on digging out my burlap for Christmas. :)
