I am one for neutrals and know I will never change. I may go lighter or darker, but I find color too jarring and too much of a commitment. If I want a punch of color for a while I do it in an accessory or two. When I get indecisive I just wait. But my rooms are always evolving anyway, as you said. But some things just bug!Jacqueline~Cabin and Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01043224721237700695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5423109522341970047.post-34847873174743850602014-01-28T04:42:52.054-08:002014-01-28T04:42:52.054-08:00I won't even tell you about the stuff I have c...I won't even tell you about the stuff I have crammed into our guest room closet because it just didn't work for me! I'm going outside of my comfort zone: I chose gray and a seafoam green/blue (saw it in HGTV magazine). I'm definitely a neutral girl myself but I'm ready to shake things up. But every time I get an idea with s color, even the palest, I just think I will grow to hate it too soon. If you are feeling that much pull towards your whites, I say go for it. This you. This is now. I have all my rooms done a little differently and with different colors so I can't say I'm hell bent on white, but that's the way my living room is going and I just don't know how to keep it alive and fresh.

Good luck to you!

XO,
Jane

XO,
JaneBlondie's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12988377413260331618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5423109522341970047.post-51335012727241912742014-01-26T18:13:28.468-08:002014-01-26T18:13:28.468-08:00Sissy, first that mirrored "Regency" mak...Sissy, first that mirrored "Regency" make up table is to die for!!! I do love to play though, that's the fun of decorating to me. I know you'll get it just right. I love your decorating skills and everything looks fabulous already. I hear you though, a change is good, besides fun. I love all the white rooms I see pictures of, especially the bedrooms, but when it comes time for me to actually do my decorating, I always have some kind of color thrown in with white. Black in the living room, Duck Egg in the bedroom. Probably because, in my case, I'm taking my husband into account. It's bad enough he kids me about our home being decorated "French"! : ) Kathy @ Creative Home Expressionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01341667486449125153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5423109522341970047.post-26257675012943711952014-01-26T15:34:37.589-08:002014-01-26T15:34:37.589-08:00I think alot of people second guess themselves, ju...I think alot of people second guess themselves, just like you're doing. Alot of my Interior Design clients couldn't make a decision and stick with it. They always hesitated. Then, they found me.

I have a wide LIKE list of colors, patterns and furniture styles, for myself. I LOVE combining patterns and colors. I love contemporary and traditional and alot in between. My favorite accent color is black - it anchors a room. I love to incorporate Romantic artwork, delicate crystals, textures and area rugs into my schemes.

One thing that doesn't work for me is WHITE - the opposite of you. If I had to do a WHITE room or house for myself, I don't know that I could do it...unless of course it was CONTEMPORARY and I used tons of TEXTURE! Hmmmmmm.

Good luck to you!

JanJan Hermannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12388252906826385107noreply@blogger.com
