Playing Dress Up!

Hi Bloggerettes!  Don't you just love it when something just falls into your lap  after months of searching in vain. Well, it happened to me.  I've been wanting one of these for a long time, a very long time.

She's now wearing lots of vintage lace and doilies.
And, a LuLu Necklace, a gift from my sweet friend LuLu Kellogg.
Thank you LuLu!!

Ain't she purdy!

Here's how she came to be all mine.  A dealer was moving out of her booth and she sold everything in it.  I was lucky enough to get this cute chick!

I pulled out all of my vintage lace stash and went to town

wrapping and pinning.  I felt like a dress designer working frantically in her "magasin de robe de Paris!"
I have lots of plans for her.

Okay, get out there and create, make, sew, paint, cook, bake, write, photograph, repurpose or find something wonderful and show it to us!

~~hugs~

Sissie

  1. A girl after my heart! Bring out the lace and rhinestones! My problem is that I am reluctant to bring the doilies and lace into the shop because I don't want to part with any! I'm working on that...

I kept thinking how do people find them and then there it was in a thrift store, an old Acme size A dress form. she had been sitting for so long she had been marked from $75 to $45.....I practically threw myself on her!! I love yours all done up with vintage lace!
