What to do with your stash of crochet pieces and more...

When it comes to collecting vintage crocheted pieces, I'm sure that many of you are just like me. We stash them away and wait for a creative moment to strike.  Today one hit me square in the face!  I reached for some padded hangers and thought why not make these prettier.  So, I added a doilie, some ribbon and more stuff and here's what they look like now.

Pretty little hangers that are so soft and feminine.

The bottle brush trees in silver and china sugar bowl and creamers, is another project I just completed.  These have already sold.

I'm in love with this snowball trimmed faux fur basket.  I just added some faux gifts wrapped in white paper, embellished with curly ribbon and a sprig of greenery.  Sold!
I decorated our tree over the Holiday weekend.
This year I went with whites, silvers and soft golds.  It is still needing a little something and as soon as I find it...I'll know. But for now it looks quite pretty.  Of course I had to add the Jeanne d'Arc Lace Angel Wings to the top.  You can find them here.
I fell in love with this deer pillow.  He's happy sitting by the tree.
Well that's it for now.  I know you are all busy getting ready for the holidays and you have lots to share.  So, I'll be stopping by to take a look.
                                              ~~hugs~~

  1. Love the bottle brush trees in the silver. I have three large bags of vintage linens waiting for a project - I may have to borrow your idea. Mr. Deer is delightful.

  3. The hangars are so pretty and such a clever idea. A great gift, too. Where can we find those padded silk hangars that keep out clothes crease proof?

Your tree looks gorgeous. You are so ahead of the game. I'm a procrastinator and quite simply lazy. Hope to get at a little of it over the weekend.

Good to hear from you and Happy Holidays, Sissy!

  5. Hi Sissy:
Everything is so beautiful and festive! We'll be decorating next week. I've asked for a live tree this year - we have nowhere to store artificials anyway - so we'll shop for a nice tree to put up. I'm looking forward to it!
    Happy Christmas holiday, my dear.
    Blessings,
    Donna

  11. So pretty! I love all of these lovely items...and I have so many of them myself. We just moved, and I may not have quite as much space to display them...but I will pull them out and rotate them from time to time so that I can still enjoy them. :)

    Merry Christmas!
