Angel Wings and Lacy Scarves and Shawls made with Vintage Laces

Angel wings and lacy scarves and shawls made from vintage laces....I thought this would get your attention!
I've been on an angel wing kick, if there is such a thing.  But you know how we take an interest in something and then start creating like mad!

However, I must admit that I cannot take the credit for making these.  They are from Jeanne d'Arc Living and are currently for sale in my Etsy Shop.

I discovered gold leafing and I want to gold leaf everything!  I might be a little late to the game but it's never too late to try something new.
These heavy metal wings are perfect for gold leafing.
When this scarf arrived I gotta tell ya my heart skipped a beat!
Talk about tons of gorgeous lace and nothing but loveliness to wrap around your neck and shoulders.....Oh my!
Here it is on a mannequin from Jeanne d'Arc's website:
This scarf is also available in my SHOP!

I can't think of anything more lovelier than this vintage shawl from Jeanne d'Arc.  I think it's perfect for the transition into fall wardrobe.  The only problem is deciding which color I like best, cream or powdered rose.  It's also in my Etsy Shop.

Okay, my Lovelies.  This is all I have for now.  I hope you have a fun and creative weekend.

  1. Ooooh Sissie every time you get new items from JDL I want them!!!! I actually have a grey tattered scarf from JDL and it was my favorite to wear all last Autumn and Winter, well and Spring too. I may have to get another because this creamy lace one is just sooo pretty. I love the shawls too and isn't that the most perfect shade of pink? But I did not see the pink one in your shop. I do not know what I will decide yet. I have to think about it! Love you dear xo

  9. So pretty, Sissie! I have one of those scarves and am looking forward to wearing it. Although it is light, I just can't wear it when it is 89 degrees out! : )

By the way, I am wanting to paint a small hutch in a light gray and ...
I hate trying to pick paint. I remembered YOU paint a lot of pieces in a light gray that's not chalk paint. Could you kindly tell me what color/s gray you use? Thanks so much...
