Tis' the season to create

Hi Bloggerettes!  Lately I've been wanting to make and create pretty things, yet simple things.  Ya know what I mean????
Peggie started making pretty garlands out of fabric and laces and I just love how they look.  I decided to be a copy cat and make some too.  Hers are much prettier and she sells everyone she makes.
The first one I made was all pink and girlie.  It looked so pretty in my booth that I put a big price on it hoping it wouldn't sell.  (I know, I know....it's a dealer thing!)   The funny thing is that it sold the very next day.

So easy to make.  Just take some cording or heavy string and start tying on strips of fabric, ribbon, laces....whatever you hearts desire.
There is something theraputic about making these....
I used lots of vintage laces on this one.

Perfect for a little Princess room or a big Princess Room....
My little helper is plum tuckered out from helping her Mommie...

Okay, that's it for today.  Get out there this week and make, bake, sew, photograph, create, draw, paint, crochet, write, sew, repurpose or find something wonderful and share it will all of us.

Odd Little Side Table...

Hi Bloggerettes!  I found this side table that was a dark wood stain.
I liked the looks of it, but honestly I have no idea why it has a storage compartment in the bowed front.  If any of you know what this is then I'd love to know.

I painted it a soft creamy green and added the clock face knob for some interest.

Made some garland from burlap and lace scraps....

I love adding to my clock collection...

It's going to be a lovely weekend here on the coast and I hope it is wherever you are too.  Hope you find something wonderful at a yard sale, estate sale or an auction.  If you do, remember we want to see it!!

Crown Crush!

Hi Bloggerettes!  My latest crush seems to be crowns.  Don't know why, but I am in love with all of the frenchified stuff.

My Sister brought me this great looking french pillow....

When I saw this mirror image at the Garden Center, I knew it had to be mine....
When I found this stool it was painted gold with a gold fabric but of course I had to change that!
Found this crown on canvas at Tuesday Mornings....
Not sure where it's going to end up.  I've been playing around with different places.  Not sure about the mantle.
I plan to post photos of the fabulous Garden Center in Raleigh.
I will be doing that soon.
In the meantime, have a wonderful week!

A Few Projects...

Hi Bloggerettes!  It's about time that I showed you a few projects that I've been working on.  So, without further ado, I'll get right to it!

I've been busy making rosettes......lot's of them.....
When I first saw this three drawer, very old and handmade wooden chest, I knew I had to have it.
I painted it white and gave it the shabby treatment.  Don't you just love the cute little thing?
Wouldn't it be cute on a bathroom counter holding pretty towels, soaps and bath stuff....

Love these little vintage pie crust tables.  This one's in our booth ready to go....

A sweet pink shabby table....

A little white shabby table.  I love little tables.

That's it for now.  Everyone have a wonderful week and I'll see you back here next time.

Warning.....Fluffing the Booth may be hazardous to your health!!!

Hi Bloggerettes.  I'm going to tell you a story and here goes.  Mind you I might take a little poetic license in the telling.

Today, Peggie and I were fluffing up our booths.  I was wrestling with a five tiered shelf that was giving me fits.  Well, Peggie joins in and we both cannot get this stupid shelf together.  After many tries and total frustration we finally got it together.

Now I don't know about you, especially you more mature bloggerettes, but getting down on the floor  and on my knees doesn't work well for me anymore.  It's not the getting down part that's hard, it's the gettin up!! LOL!

But as fate would have it the only way we could get this shelf together was to get down on the floor.  I'll set the stage by saying that  Peggie is no bigger than a pound of soap and me, well let's just say that there's a lot more of me!

Peggie jumps right up off the floor like it was nothing.  But when I go to get up I have to have something to hold onto, like a chair or cabinet or something.  But nothin doin.  Peggie's determined she's going to help me up.  LOL, what a site to behold !  She's tuggin and pullin and I'm sayin, "just let me crawl over here to this chair and brace myself and I can get up!"  Nothin doin for Pegs.  She is determined she's going to help me up.  By this time we are both laughing, huffing and puffing. I finally crawl over to the chair and pull myself up.  (Wears me out just talking about it!)

We are sure that we could star in a reality show called, "JUNKIN GIRLS IN THEIR SIXTIES!"

We would wear funky clothes!  Those young gals got nothin on us!

We did manage to get some fluffin done.  How do you like our Prairie Girl....
She needed boots and a hat, but when I came back to add them, the top had already sold.  So now she looks like this....

Borrowed the suede vest from another vendor.....perfect Prairie perfection!!

Okay, that's it for my weekend antics.
Get out there this week and create, make, sew, paint, decorate, write, photograph, sew, crochet, knit and find something wonderful and share it with all of us!

As promised.....Here's my Giveaway!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I've been a little laxed on posting lately and the only excuse I have is that "the dog ate it!"  Actually, I've been busy finding and painting things for my booths.  So, to let you know that you are all still number one in my heart.......I'm having a giveaway!

Since I've been putting images on everything lately, I'm offering up this little tote bag with "bonne nuit," or (goodnight).  I think it would be great on a door filled with some flowers or something pretty.

I'm also throwing in this cute french image pillow....

All you gotta do is leave me a comment and you'll be entered in my giveaway.  Easy, peasy.  If you aren't already a follower, I'd love for you to become one, but it isn't necessary to enter.

I'll announce the winner on October 23.

On another note, here is another pillow that I created for my booth.

Okay, that's it.  Get out there and create, sew, photograph, repurpose, paint, cook, bake, write and find something wonderful and share it with us!
