My Sister absolutely adores Pink Flamingo's from the 40's and 50's! It all started while flipping through yet another decorating magazine. A room was pictured all done in pinks, greens and cremes featuring pink flamingo pottery scattered throughout. My sister says, "I want some of those." So, off we go on a hunt to find them.
The first one we found was in a little
antique shop in a small downtown area.
It was a whopping $50.! (as usual, my sister has very expensive taste).
She was hooked from then on.
The first picture you see are the ones that I bought from one of our shop dealers.
She found them at an estate sale and all of them cost less than the first one she
bought! Goes to show, it's who you
know!
Anyway, they look lovely on her mantel,
don't you think.
I'm sure the next time I visit there will be a few more pink flamingos.

Now that is a way to start a collection :-) The group of flamingos are pretty :-)
I came by way of Pink Saturday and hope you had a nice first PS :-) Love the ice skates. You're right, maybe they were meant to be pink :-) I like the glittery touch too :-)I don't know how to skate but I don't think that matters right? :-)
