Great weekend finds.....

It just wouldn't be Saturday without going to all the yardsales, thrifts, Goodwill and Habitat, now would it?  I know I'm not alone when it comes to thrift store addiction,
because once you go, you are hooked FOREVER!
Here are my wonderful finds:

Sweet little frenchy looking clock.  I added the fleu-de-lis scroll using rub on art. How cut is that? And the clock only cost $2.00. Yep, $2.00!

This shabby cottage looking plate with roses for $2.00 at Goodwill.  I added a little bow in case someone would like to hang it on the wall.

Victorian Hot Plates with coasters for $2.00 each.

Found this tiny little tree in a burlap bag for $2.00, added the balls for $1.00 and a few other ornaments I had laying around.  I put the tree in a $1.00 white vase from
a thrift shop and created a little tree that would be perfect for someone in the hospital, or nursing home, or for someone who doesn't want to put up a big tree.

I also went out into the back yard and picked up pine cones to paint and glitter.
For some reason people are buying these things like crazy.  I originally put them in my booth for decoration, but they started selling.

Wait, there's more......I was so energetic that I whipped up two burlap pillows for some customers.  I hadn't worked with burlap before, but it was easy.  It's inexpensive and gives the pillows the french decor look that is so hot right now.

Well, that's about it for now.  I think that today I am going to take it easy.  Maybe even take a nap.  Mr. Sissie and Son are making dinner.  Now, how lovely is that?
I'm going to get a glass of iced tea, prop up in my bed with the kitties
and  look around at all my blogger friends posts.
Can you think of a better way to spend a day?

Great finds.. I have some rose plates with the scalloped edges like your find that I found at a yard sale . No sales up here in this weather. I have to rely on Goodwill and other thriftt stores. When I buy a sweater at Goodwill and someone asks where I got it I tell them ""GW FASHIONS"

Oh My Gosh Sissy...
That clock is just precious. I love the little add(ie) to it. You made it so special.

The coasters and hot plates were beautiful and I loved the little tree. You can never have to many trees. Not ever.

Sweetie I am so lovin those burlap pillows. They are just beautiful. Especially the one with the little layers. You are so talented sweetie. So talented. I need those for my leather couches. How beautiful they are.

I am going to have to check out your Etsy shop. Oh and sweetie thank you so much for sharing today. I hope you rest and enjoy getting waited on by the guys. I so wish we lived close, I would be shopping on weekends with you. I usually go alone out here. I always have a great time, but sure would enjoy being with a good friend.

Could you email me your address? I have a little something I would like to send to you.
Country hugs, Sherry

Sissy, You did great. You must have wonderful thrift shops where you are. Ours are- well not so good. Gotta find me some new ones. I love the pinecones and adore the pillows. Don't you just love burlap? Did you wash yours first- it gets so soft that way.
