Pink Saturday and Radko Ornaments

Wow, I almost forgot about Pink Saturday, so I'm scurring around this morning trying to get myself together.  I think I might have overdosed
on Christmas decorating!  Somebody stop me!!!!

Beverly, our gracious Pink Saturday host has asked us to talk about a favorite Christmas decoration.  I have so many that I am not sure where to start.  I posted earlier in the month about my childhood angel tree topper, so I won't repeat that one.

I have always loved Christopher Radko ornaments.  The artist designs them with a mixture of vintage and new.  They are so distinctive and outstandingly beautiful that I can't stop collecting them.

Do you know why Christopher Radko started designing these lovely ornaments?
Well, I'll tell you.  When he was a child, their Christmas Tree was covered with family ornaments and collectibles that were priceless to the family.
For whatever reason, the tree toppled over and all of the ornaments were destroyed.
So, Christopher vowed to replace the ornaments through his designs and love for his family.

Thought I'd throw in some pink too........This is a little pink tree in my booth waiting for a new home.  I sold the first one, pink pinecones and all.  So, I hope this one goes home with someone real soon too.

Ok, now go and enjoy some really, really pretty Pink Saturday posts by clicking on here.  You will find yourself at How Sweet The Sound where there is a list of all the Pinkie blogs.  Go do it......you will have a ball!

Good Morning Sweet Sissie...
Sweetie I love this pink post. Oh my how beautiful that snowman is. How wonderful to have such beautiful and unique ornaments to share and some day pass down to the next generation. I just love them.

Your pink tree is just precious. I love it. I have to tell you, this year my small tree, I went with black. Yes black. It is beautiful. It is all decorated in red only ornaments. It is in my dining room, and is absolutely beautiful. It pops against that new red wall of mine. I will be posting pictures in the next couple of days so be watching. You are gonna love it.

Happy Pink Saturday. Please stop by and say hi. I love it when you do.

Country hugs and much love...Sherry

I'd never heard the Radko story before, Sissie. I used to collect his ornaments back in the days when I had a full size tree in every room of the house. I finally had to give away all of the trees but one and, with each tree, it's respective ornaments. I just don't have the energy anymore! :)
