Fabulous Finds and Flourishes!!

Hello lovely bloggers!  It's time to tell you about some of my fabulous finds from those wonderful "thriftiques,"  (that's a new word, just made it up) like "bon marche Goodwill," and  "Habitat Treasures," Now that sounds better.  Oh well no matter what you
call these wonderful shopping mecas, the good finds are abundant.

You might remember a few posts back where I started going crazy with the fleur-de-lis motif.  Well, I'm still puttin them all over everything!

Found the cup and the soap dispenser for $2. each,
added yet another flourish and now I have a set!

The box was brown, so I gave it some white paint and added a
you know what.

The two hammered silver spoons were 75 cents each

One of those boring wooden boxes
beautifully transformed......

Painted some blah wooden coat hangers and
prettied em up!

Family Room sofa loaded down with pillows
and my latest creation the burlap Paris fleamarket
pillow.  It's going to my booth.

Ok, that's it for today.
Have you found any goodies to show me?
If not, you better get out there before its all gone.
Then be sure and show us what you found.

um, maybe I should host a "I found it for a bargain
day!"

~~~hugs~~
Oh Sissie Sweetie...
I so love to come and see what you have found this time. What bargains. Dang it I sure wish we lived close by, we would get into so much trouble together. I love the box prettied up and the hangers are just so dang cute. I love it.
Ofcourse I love your fleur-de-lis creations. They are so beautiful. I need to find some of those darn appliques, as they look so pretty on your white.
Pillows, love them. Can never have to many pillows. I have them in almost every room in the house.
Thriftiques - I love this word. So precious. Works for me.
By all means, I think you should host I found it for a bargain. What fun would that be.
Country hugs sweetie and much love...Sherry
Hello Sissie! So nice to meet you :) I found out about your blog over at Ms. R's at A Gathering of Thoughts. You have such a lovely blog, and I love your wonderful Thrifty finds. I love to shop those "Thrift Boutiques" myself. Sometimes I find wonderful treasures, and sometimes I leave empty-handed. You just never know what you might find at them. There are 3 different Goodwill stores I like to frequent. Love your giveaway you are having. Please enter my name in it (though I have never been lucky enough to win one yet :( ) I'll be becoming a follower too!! Again, it is so nice to meet you! Warmest, Brenda (shabbycatsandroses)
Your pillows are so beautiful! I say you can never have too many throw pillows. I love what you did with all your 2nd hand treasures, where do you get the flourishes you add to them? They really make the pieces and help tie them all together!
You found some great stuff and I love love love your pillows.
I have not had a great amount of luck at Goodwill recently. I have two that I frequent often and have been disappointed as I walk out of the doors with little or nothing.
Angie said...
Love everything and I don't blame you one bit for putting that cute fleur de lis on lots of stuff! I may have to try it too!
I love your new word. Soooo chic! And your finds are wonderful. What a good idea with the wooden hangers. What kind of paint do you use so it won't rub off on the clothes? Or, is that a dumb question?
I have to say that I am so going to use your "Thriftiques"!!!! I will get credit to you ....maybe you should copyright it. Thanks for your kind comments about my name change. I did it. I am now A conversation at Goodwill. I like the sound of that. You don't have to do a thing. It will already show as this new name under sites that you have joined. It was a low tech way of doing things, kind of like switching out a photo in the banner under layout, but it worked. Thanks again.
