My Funny Valentines!

I am mostly directing this post to those of you who have been married for a long period of time, but I might be wrong.  It could happen to newlyweds too.
It's just that I believe we start to think more alike and become more alike the longer we are married.  For instance................
My husband and I gave the same Valentine Cards to each other on our 26th Valentines Day.

Then on our  31st Valentines Day we once again, gave each other
the same Valentine Cards............

Of course, we both laughed and said it would probably never happen again.  Well, I guess we will just have to wait and see if
our 35th Valentines Day cards are a matching pair.

I'd say we are definitely a matched pair.  Mr. Sissie is my Darling
and his love means everything to me.  Ain't it sweet??? Awh, shucks honey pie, sugar dumplin, snookems.

What do you call your honey?????

                                              ~~hugs~~

Sissie,
Hi girl! I didn't comment on Silver Sunday because I was pouting that I didn't win...Kidding! Congrats to Gwendolyn, your a lucky girl! I am laughing at your matching cards. Great minds think alike, & shop at the same stores. What do I call my honey? Well, it depends. He is my mr. right that's for sure. He puts up with my mess everywhere, mountains of magazines & has even been known to pick up curbside finds. That makes him pretty special to me. Lisa

Oh Sissie...
Sweetie is that cute or what? I think sometimes we truly do become one and we think as one. Tony and I have done this once in our 35 years together. We think so much alike sometimes it is scary. We say the same thing at the same time, or we end up calling each other at the same time worried, and each of our phones go to voicemail because we are calling each other. I can even tell you when he has a headache. It is not unusual for me to call him and remind him that he needs to take something for his headache. As soon as he sees who is calling he picks up his phone laughing, and he tells me he is just going to take some tylenol. We laugh.

We are so connected through the ages aren't we? I love that. Have a beautiful Monday evening sweetie. Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

I got you beat, ha ha. My hubby and I will be celebrating our 45th Valentine's as husband and wife and well, I don't know if I want to think like him or not. LOL!

BTW, the cards you two pick out are gorgeous. I especially love the first one.

Is that really your living room on the header? It is gorgeous.

That's funny! I don't know if we've ever done the same card, but we are at a point where we can finish each other's sentences. We'll be married 25 years in May. Sometimes I call my hubby Pookie and sometimes I call him something else {which I can't print here}. ; )

that is funny but oh so true...my hubby and I gave each other the same cards one year too...as far as what do we call each other??? Well most of the time its "hon" matter of fact, last week we were going out to dinner and I happened to be driving and I was trying to tell him something about our favorite park that we were passing, and as I went to say "hun" I actual stumbled and said his name...it sounded really weird, and obviously weird to him too, because he looked at me and said, "Wow, I can't remember when you last called me by my name?" And then I looked at him and we both chuckled...it was true, we never use our given names....??? It's just a loving gesture to have pet names for each other. When I am being cute I call him "pickle nose" not sure why its just in jest... :)

I have heard of that happening, but not to us. I usually find a quipy kind of card...he is into mush!! I wouldn't change a thing....
It is wonderful to hear of lasting marriages...we are fewer and fewer!!

My hubby is my sweetheart. He is my hero and my prince charming. I remind him of that often so he will never forget.

OH Sissie, Love that story for sure! I call my hub..........H.B. We were at our local church helping with feeding the hungry or homeless. I was the table hostess & HB was one of the servers. I had name tags set out like instructed. My table seated 8 or 10. We all put on our name tags . The gentleman sitting next to me was a regular and someone said hey HB. Oh! I said that's what I call my husband. I asked what his initials meant. He booms out HOLY BIBLE! Oh! I was speechless and he was waiting for my answer back. I had to burst out Honey Bunny! It was a funny moment for sure.

Sissy, what fun! You are too cute! I'm single, my cats don't send valentines, but I have a scrapbook of vintage ones I got when I was in grade school that is fun to drag out. Maybe I can create some artwork with them.
Loved your comment on 85% Finished-I definitely won't ask for help now!

Snooky, ooky, ookums? :)
That is a cute story and I love that you chose the same card.
Seriously, Patrick called me "Hon" and I miss it so much. It's funny because sometimes I think I hear him call me and almost answer, then I realize it's just his voice in my head. I hope I never forget that sound. Ever.
Valentines Day will always be difficult for me.

My hubs and I usually don't 'do' Valentines... Our anniversary is on the 24th, so to celebrate that we give up Valentine's. No matter, we've done goofy 'unromantic' stuff like get the same card as we did the year before...THen there's an oops, and we laugh it off.. (but never both of us the same! that's just too funny!)

Funny, my husband usually gets sort of mushy cards for me and I either forget or get a funny one for him. What does that say?? I know, I know...I better get Snookums something drippy this year!

Chef Stu and I gave each other the same card one year too.

He is very particular about the cards he gives and he underlines the parts that he's emphatic about, which I find endearing.

I ordinarily make cards for him, so it was a rarity that I bought a card the one year and it was the same one as he'd bought.

I call him VHG (Very Handsome Guy).

That is so cute! We've never gotten the same card for eachother... but we have gotten the same gift for eachother at Christmas... does that count?

Soul Mates... how wonderful to spend your life with yours...

ps... "Tiger"... my term of endearment..

Ahh.... Isn't that soooo sweet! That's never happened to me.......and.....after THREE..........YEP THREE husbands don't you think I'd think like ONE of them? :-) I call my sweet hubbs Muffin.........Every time my best friend leaves a message on the answering machine she ALWAYS says "my regards to Muffin".....I laugh every single time. Some of his co-workers call him Muffin too......it comes through that way on e-mails and, since he didn't notice, he forwarded them to others........ Gotta love a good sport!

Hugs,
Spencer

Awww, I love this! What a good match the two of you are. How wonderful.

My husband and I are, too, to tell the truth . . . though what I call him on any given day may not actually reflect that. ;)
