Anthropologie Love

Hi Blogerettes!  I know you are dying to find out what was inside those Anthro shopping bags....what if I told you they were empty, just props, um?  Well, my pocketbook would be alot better off it they were empty, but they weren't.

See this lovely self portrait of moi.......see the lovely scarf around my neck???  Pretty, isn't it, yes.  It's a gift from my sister!

Now, I should be just down right ashamed of myself for buying this ridiculously expensive shower curtain!  It might go back, not sure yet.  It's really fufu and it didn't look right in the guest bath, so I put it on the window over the tub.  Not sure I like it and I'm telling ya I need to really, really like it to justify what it cost!
Nope, I just decided that I'm not liking it.  What do you think??
I know one thing and that is....I love, love this gorgeous top
with all the ruffles.  I couldn't resist, just couldn't.  I know yall understand.

One more thing to show you and that is this
very pretty, very ornate vintage silver hand mirror.
I bought it from one of the dealers at Miss Minnie's.
Not sure what the initials are.
It might end up in my etsy shop.

Ok, that's it.   I think I am going to go and worry about the shower curtain some more and tell myself that it just isn't working! (sob, sniff, sniff).

Oh Sissie Sweetie...
I adore that scarf. Ask your Sister if she would like to adopt another Sister? My birthday is coming up and oh I love that scarf. SO pretty on you too.

Now that curtain. That curtain would work if you raised the rod just a little Sissie, I think it is still down to far, it touches the tub and takes away from the beauty of the fabric, because it does look beautiful there. It just isn't allowed to flow right now. (I think it is just to close to the porcelain.)

That shirt, oh my gosh, I love it. That is just down right stinkin cute. I would have grabbed it too. You have very GOOD taste my Dear.

Oh someday I hope we get the opportunity to shop together. What a great time we would have you and I. Have a beautiful evening my sweet friend.

Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

I kind of like the shower curtain on the window! It looks very pretty. Of course, I can't see the rest of the bathroom like you can!

Looks like you got yourself some fine and fabulous treasures!

You may want to shop at Miss Minnie's for me!!!

Miss Sissie, I'm lovin' that shower curtain! More importantly, the way in which you've chosen to use it renders it even more of a stand-out! It's truly lovely!

Love the new scarf! A knock-out! Looks beautiful with your skin tone. Sister did real good!

And that gorgeous top was not in sight the day I went shopping! Ya know I need it!

Love the scarf and that blouse! I would steal those from you in a heartbeat! The shower curtain is lovely, too, but if you are not feeling it, then it should probably go back so you can get something you are feeling.

That scarf is to.die.for. Want it. The shower curtain looks lovely to me, but if you're wavering at all, it prolly isn't 'the' one.

And I'll take that top too. Thanks. :)

Ohhh, so much girly fufu things, lovin' it!

Ah, buyer's remorse . . . sleep on it a few more days and if you still aren't feeling the luv, return it and you'll probably buy something else you just LOVE!!

Hello Sissie....Just got out of the tub and found your kind post on my blog. You are not going to believe this but I was thinking while soaking (that is quite an effort in itself) anyway, I was thinking that I had not been by to say hi in a while. How freaky is that !!!

Anyway, hi, I so love Anthro too.

Blessings friend,

Well, it is a beautiful shower curtain! But I know that Anthropologie can be pricey. I guess it really depends on if the bathroom is where you want to spend the money. I love the old silver mirror too. My Mom has 4 or 5 hanging on her guest bathroom wall. Each one is so pretty.

Ask and you shall recieve! I just added pictures of my entry way to my blog just for you!

I love all your Anthro finds. That new scarf is so pretty and YOU are beautiful!!

The scarf is so pretty, Sissie. I love how it goes with your white blouse!

The shower curtain looks really cute where you have it. Gotta love those ruffles. Maybe you need to raise it up as Sherry suggests. I love it. And I love your ruffled blouse. Ruffles are SO IN!!! I hope I can wear them this summer. I'm a little top heavy, I don't want to look like a birthday cake! lol!! Glad you had fun on your shopping trip!!

I have been debating over that shower curtain myself. And I know the price but did you know Urban Outfitters has a cheaper version for $68? And Target.com has Simply Shabby Chic for I think $30. All very similar styles but I do love the Anthro one myself!

Well, I like the shower curtain, but I can see where you might be up in the air over it because of the cost. This one is all on you Girlfriend - you have to live with it!
Love the mirror! OMG! And the scarf and top too. You just had a good ol' day shopping didn't you?

1) The scarf if darling without a doubt- your sister can shop for me anytime and you look Great in it.
2) Now I'm a girl that looooves her ruffles- I like the shower curtain but I see what you mean, it's just not doing it for me either... just my honest opinion.
3) And finally the top, now that is really doing it...... it's totally awesome, I'm absolutely crazy about the ruffles and the gorgeous color.

You make that scarf work, girl..love it! Now I am loving the shower curtain because it is beautiful and ruffly..but if you are stressin this much over it, maybe it should go back. You could always try to make one yourself.

Oh, Sissie, what treasures. I need to go to Anthropologie with YOU! I usually talk myself out of stuff there and live to regret it.

I love the shower curtain. It's very feminine, but lush; sometimes feminine means flimsy, not here and I like that.

I love the wonderful scarf your sister gave you! And that hand mirror and shirt are gorgeous too! I really like the shower curtain so maybe live with it a few days and then decide.

How cute are U!! Work that Anthro look girl! Lisa
PS I think you could have made that curtain, I know you could have.

Hi Sissie,
Well, my rule of thumb is, if I have even one little doubt, I don't keep it. I know it's very neat, but I also know that you'll come up with something even better. Judging by your photos, you have a great decorating style, so I know you'll find something that'll work! I so wish you could be my interior decorator (if I could afford ya!) lol!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh keep that shower curtain. It is so gorgeous. I also think you look beautiful in you scarf and that top it a Wow moment. I want to come and sit on your white sofa and have a cup of tea. Your header is so inviting. Hmmm is that my pitcher nope mine is here in my kitchen on the shelf. :) I want to go to that store the next time we go to the USA.

Well, here is a penny for my thoughts. If you were 89 and going to heaven would you be saying...darn...I wish I had kept that shower fluffy window covering? It's pretty and I think you should keep it. It's unique and you don't want any regrets at 89.

Hi Sissie, The scarf is gorgeous! You have such a wonderful sister! I also love that top.
When you're not sure about the shower curtain you should give it back, especially when it's so expensive. I think, if you would love it, you would know it and wouldn't have to be convinced.

Dorthe said...

Hi sweetie Sissie,

You looks so beautifull with your new scharf, and it is gorgeus,
the curtain, is wonderfull too, but maybe Julia is right, doubting is the first step, to not realy wanting!!!!!!
The top, uuuuhhhhhmmmmm looks so lovely,
and so wonderfull, you got some very wonderfull beauties here, dear.
Hugs and love

Well now...wait a minute...the shower curtain is, yes, definitely feminine but since I am in love with all your decorating I am going to leave it up to whether it is right over the tub. I gotta feeling it's already DOWN! :)
When you get that "it's not right! Darn it!" feeling...it's probably not right, cute though it may be. Right?
Now that top! That is a different story! Wish I could wear something like that again! It's over for me, but not for you! GORGEOUS!

And..lastly. You sweet little thing...thank you for your kind comment on my "self pity" post. You are right. We are all in this together and that's what makes it so neat. WE UNDERSTAND!
Hug and love,

Hey FGM~
the shower curtain is an iffy.. but the top I adore! And I am loving your pillows and such in Etsy!

It is fab...the shower curtain. Be sure you think 'outside the box' before returning. It might just like to be something else.
Great scarf sis picked out! and cute mirror. Now I'm going to see what else is in your ETSY shop.
You're a great White Wed. gal ;-)

Miss Gracie's House said...

OK...so do tell...did you keep it?! I'm lovin' all of the ruffles these days...but I'm with the other gals...make your own...if you can make pillows then you can make this!

Sherrie said...

Hi there, thanks for stopping by. Always so nice to see a smiling face. I am drooling over your scarf, it is divine. As for the shower curtain, I love frilly et al, but it takes a strong woman to know when to do a return. You can do it....you have the courage not only to shop but to return. I so admire you. have a nice night.

Sares said...

Keep the curtain! Keep the curtain! It's fabulous! Love the scarf and the sweater too, the pale purple color is so pretty. The mirror you found is a beauty too, they just don't make them like this anymore, my current hand mirror is blue plastic!

Dogmom Diva said...

Hi Sissie, new to your blog! Ok, love the shower curtain, but I am with the others, I would hang it a big higher so it skims the tub.
the blouse is stunning and I bet it looks cute as can be on you, and I love the mirror..the scarf is so IN..was just looking at dressbarn ad online and they have a scarf tutorial..very cool.
Have a great week

The top is super cute.....I would loose the shower curtain. It just isn't working, and if you aren't absolutely in love with it, it will bother you forever.

I'm loving the scarf!
