I Love My Kitchen

Hi Bloggerettes!  Many of you have asked to see my kitchen, so here it is.  It's not really all that special, but I had a great deal to do with the design.

I chose cream colored cabinets, called the Charleston design.
And the granite has a brown golden tones.
I chose to go with a warm antiqued yellow for the
stovetop.  The builder advised me against it, but I was deadset to breakup all the same color and create a piece that looked like furniture.

Pay no attention to the liquor bar, I never go there. Well,
maybe sometimes.  It all depends on other people's attitudes! LOL!

Well, there you have it.  I usually don't like to
show too much of my house, because it might come off as
bragging.  But, since you asked, I am happy to do so.

~~hugs~~

Yes, show us more of your house, it is not braggy, you are giving inspiration and ideas. your kitchen is so very beautiful. What color is the moulding in your kitchen, is it cream too? I have white cabinets that are identical to your, but I have been wanting less of the stark white color and want it to blend in to the wall color, when ever I do choose the wall color. Glad that you stuck with your gut and got the yellow on the cookstove top area, that is so pretty. Marla

I'm so glad you shared, Sissie! I love seeing other people's houses. If I could take half way decent pictures, I'd share more of my own {I just do snippets}. I can't not pay attention to the liquor bar because you have a BUNNY on it and it looks like a wonderful piece! I like the lightness you have going on here. I think after spending 25 years with oak everything, I'm drawn to the lighter look now.

Smart girl to stick with your design intead of caving to the builder. After all, he's not the one who has to wake up to it every day! And I love the warm gold color for the stove area. Your kitchen looks both functional and pretty! Thanks for showing us.

Ah Sissie, thank you for sharing your beautiful kitchen. I wish mine were as lovely, I'd probably cook more. Mine is what is known as a galley-kitchen. Practical, yes. Roomy, not so much. I would love to have the space and the openness yours has. And that bar wouldn't be so bad either. Ha ha Seriously..I appreciated you allowing us so graciously into your home.

Your attention to detail, Sissy is so keen. So glad you did not listen to your builder, they are usually just speaking out of what everyone else is "doing". I don't care if they say "custom" builder or not. I would love to see/hear more of your bragging :), so to speak.

Have a wonderful Friday.

Hi Sissie, thanks for stopping by. Never be afraid to reveal all the blessings in your life, including a beautiful kitchen. :) It's a lovely space and deserves special mention. Loved your memories of grandma's attic. What a wonderful place it was! I loved playing in my Mamaw's box of shimmery, glistening costume jewelry and slathering my face with her Oil of Olay. Whenever I smell it today, I am awash with fond memories. Your pillows are so beautiful! Hope you are having a fantastic Friday. many blessings, Tammy
