Do You Love Vintage Lace????

Hi Bloggerettes!  Tell me something, do you love really, really vintage lace?  Lace that just might have a few years of wear on it, but never-the-less absolutely beautiful?

Well, have I got something for you to feast your eyes on! (squeeeeeeeeeeeeeel !!)  Yep, that's what I did when I saw it!

One of my friends from Miss Minnie's found a huge box of vintage and antique laces at the estate sale of a 95 year old Lady.
She grabbed it up quicker than a waggin dog tail!
And when she walked in the shop with all this
I wresteled her down to the floor. (well maybe not)

Look at the sweet lace collars.....

Ain't this purdy.....a sweet, very tiny, camisole......If you are a size 2, it might fit!  Leaves me out that's for sure.
Look at the work on these tiny little petals....amazing!

I decided to trim one of my pillow creations with this wonderful
lace and couldn't decide which one!
I decided on this one and here's how it turned out......

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sheer ruffles, burlap and vintage lace........it
don't get no better than that!!
It will be in my Etsy Shop soon.

                                             ~~hugs~~

Hi Sissie,
What a find! And yes, I really, really love vintage lace. I always look for it when I'm out shopping and I have found some but nothing that compares to that box of lace that your friend found at the estate sale. It's the perfect finishing touch to your pillow. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

The pillow is just scrumptious, and with that vintage lace added to it, it makes it so much more unique and special! Can't get anything like that in the stores, right :) Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us ladies. Warmest, Brenda

It's lovely, Sissie and you gave me an idea of something you could do for you. You could take a nice sized basket with a handle - something that you'd used to hold things you love -line it in burlap and then cover the outside of it with the same idea of burlap, ruffles and lace. I do believe it would be beautiful!

The vintage lace finds would have just brought tears to my eyes. I would have been so happy to have found all of that. I did find something very similar back a few years ago at a flea market. An elderly lady passed away and her son was selling her things from her fabric store. There was boxes and boxes of it.. I managed to cobble on to about five boxes of lace, sewing notions, ricrac and ribbon. I thought i had died and went to Heaven. So i know how you feel about right now.. Giddy and have a large smile on your face. Sheila

Oh Sissie,

I am watching for the second time in three days the Olde English 'Cranford'. Have you seen this? Lace collars all over the place, including the extreme effort to save a then antique lace made by nuns in France. Excellent production, and Dame Judy Dench is in it.
I'm goin to start wearing the lace again, to H if I already look like I'm 8 yrs. old!
