Pink Saturday

Hi Bloggerettes!  In between painting furniture, making pillows, rearrranging guest room and work room, hunting for things for my booth and getting Mollye's Bunny Swap package together; plus, working on taxes, can make a girl kinda tired. (Whew!)

Anyway, I'm still rarin to go for Pink Saturday, hosted by Beverly
at How Sweet the Sound.  Be sure and go there for some pinkdeliciousness.

I know one thing.....I am ready to put on these.....
Ever wonder what to do with a pretty doilie....
put it on a pillow of course!

How about a birds nest full of eggs.....
um? wonder how that got in there, looks like I'm going to have to eat it....the color is all wrong....oh well.

This egg wreath has nothing to do with pink,
but hey, I like it, ok.

Speaking of spring....I always think about prom time.
Do you remember what your prom dress looked like?
Mine was blue taffeta, not pink.
Wanna tell me about yours????

Photo....Rachael Ashwell's collection

Be sure and check back Sunday for my Giveaway Reveal
It's a secret.

I think you are going to like it!
Now, hop on over to Beverly's and check out the pinks.

~~hugs~~

Bonjour Sissie,
It sounds like you need a rest, sit down and take a crack at those chocolate eggs. Cute sandals, We've had some sunshine this week so I started to pull out my summer clothes and shoes - of course we're expecting cold and rain this weekend...
I like that doily pillow, I would never have thought of that, how do you do it?
Happy weekend to you.

Egadds, let's not talk about prom dresses!! Okay, I'll tell, one was a mint green (and I do NOT like green) and the other was RED :)

I pulled out my summer purse and have been going through my flip-flops, time to bring them out! Got to get my tootsies painted though . . . .

Happy PInK Saturday, girlfriend!!

I have actually been wearing flip flops this week with the weather in the 60's. Now we have snow predicted for tomorrow!

You have been a busy gal as usual. Making those gorgeous pillows!! The doily looks so pretty! And Rachel Ashwell is making prom dresses now? Wow...I bet those are steep. Mine was white. I looked like a bride!

Happy Pink Saturday, Sissie!

Love those shoes!!! The egg wreath and nest are darling. The dress I wore to my Senior prom was black, 70's style spaghetti straps with a black chiffon bolero jacket.

sissie, I have not thought about my prom dress in years. Mine was pink empire, sleevless. Under the bust was a burgundy velvet ribbon with a pink rose made out of the same fabric as the top of the dress. The bottom was rows of a very small pink ruffle. I even had a full length coat make of pink and the buttons were of course the rose buds made of cloth, I wonder what ever happened to that coat it was pretty cool. Have a great weekend, thanks for the walk down memory lane. Kathysue

Happy Pinks, Sissie! Those shoes are too darling! I love the wreath, very artsy and fabulous! The pink pillow is so charming. If you don't want to eat all the candy, I'll help you out...I call dibs on the Cadbury egg.

Did anyone ever tell you that you are a tease?! I'll be back on Sunday!

My prom dress was blue with with white eyelet overlay. My Mother made it. I saved it of course. I then took it apart and made a dress for little girl! Wish I still had it! As usual, I love all of your wonderful pink! And my mother had a prom dress just like that blue one, but hers was pink! My proms were both in the early 80's so ugly synthetics were the fabrics of the day! Tulle and taffeta are so much prettier!

I'm sure I would twist my ankle if I wore shoes as delicate as your sandals! They're very pretty and I would have chosen them for you had we been shopping together.

I'm a fan of the egg wreath. Did you make it? It's different and textural. I dig different AND textural.

I did not go to either of my proms. I shall have to blog about it one day.

My loveliest dresses came when I began dating The Source and he took me fabulous places. It rather made up for missing the prom.

I love love love those pink shoes!

My prom dress was light blue......very long poofy skirt with layers and layers.....and sparkles.....it made me feel like Cinderella (in fact my one prom date -I went to two proms in one week!!!!-wore his dad's old Navy uniform modified and looked like prince charming. Special memories!)

I love those dresses you pictured there too. Very beautiful!
Have a great Saturday!

Hi Sissie..
Loved all your pretties today. Ummm, the prom dress I liked best was the palest of pale yellows..it was a dream dress..and when we were shopping for just the perfect dress..there it was,and it just stopped me. I had to have that gorgeous, frothy, strapless beauty of a dress. I can still see in my mind how pretty it was and what fun I had with a sweet, sweet boy. *sighs...
Happy Pinks..have a beautiful weekend..

Happy Pink Saturday Sissie Sweetie...
Oh I love these pink sandals. I live in my sandals year round out here in the desert. Very seldom do you see me in shoes. I am a sandal kind of gal.

Oh I love that little egg, please share yummy. Now I wonder how it got in there, really?

Love the dresses. Yes, it was 1975, and my prom dress was a halter dress, open back (so daring for then), and it was a golden yellow and had an oriental print branches with blossoms all over it. Moma made it for me, and it poured down rain the night of the prom. My boyfriend at the time, had to park on the pavement, put bags on his shoes and walk the block to our house, he basically carried me to his car, so I would not get mud on my golden yellow slippers. I will remember that forever. It was a magical evening and I had such a wonderful time at the prom. The only dance I ever went to. I loved it. What fun times hu?

Have a beautiful Saturday sweetie. Country hugs and so much love, Sherry

Happy PiNk, Sissie...

I love the doily used on the pillow. I've been crocheting for 17 years but my eyes don't like the small thread too much anymore..even so I pull out my big magnifying glass and go for it when the urge overcomes me. :0)

I also have a huge collection of vintage fabrics, crochet pieces, feedsack, tablecloths, pillow ticking....on and on and on..LOL

And don't you just love that Prom dress collection that Rachel has?! So pretty...

May the PiNk bliss follow you through your week..
Hugs,
Stephanie ♥
