What did you find this weekend?

Hi Bloggerettes!  Always reminds me of Majorettes....were any of you you were, come on fess up!

Would you like to see some of my thrifty finds?  Yes?

I found a lovely white vintage wicker tray.  What I like most about this tray is it's shape and the sturdiness of the wicker with a wooden bottom.

Wanna see some more?  Found these vintage wire baskets too....

How about these dominoes...could they be bakelite?  The color is interesting but I'm not sure if they have just yellowed with age or
they are just yellow.  Does anyone know?
Now, the piece de resistance!!!
This fabulous, huge, vintage silver hammered aluminum

Now you know, I wouldn't let you get away without
promoting myself.  (I know, I'm shameless)...
Another Sissie pillow that I finished today.
I love this sage green burlap, so earthy.
Add a vintage doilie, rosettes and the sheer
extra long ruffle...sheer delight.  Not sure if I can part with it.
I am anxious to see what you found over the weekend
so be sure and tell me all about your treasures.
Marsha, at Sassy Mini Dolls has posted about
her great finds.  Go over and take a look.

Wow Sissie, you had some great finds there. Would you believe we had torrential rain and not a yard sale in sight!! Still, all good as baseball was cancelled which made my crazy weekend a bit more manageable!!
Especially love your wicker tray, I've seen a couple around but not with the wicker in such good shape. My junking friend Janis (junkdreams) kindly gave me a sturdy wooden tray so I just gotta paint that up and post!

Ah, you found some more great trays, dear Sissie and that's another lovely pillow creation! Maybe you can tell by the weight if the dominoes are bakelite. If they are they shouldn't be too lightweight. I came home with some buttons, a sewing machine drawer, 2 silver plated letter openers and a few other things but I haven't taken pictures yet.
Have a wonderful week!

Dear Sissie,

I love all of your beautiful finds! The white wicker tray is fabulous! Your vignettes are always so lovely and the pillow you made is gorgeous! I would have a hard time parting with it too! Those dominos look like bakelite to me. I love them in the glass jar! Love, Paula

P.S. My mom was a majorette! I tried out, but did not make it. :( I still twirled my baton though, it was such fun! :)
