A beautiful mess!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I am so tired of wrestling with my sewing room/craft room/artist studio!  I just can't keep it neat and organized no matter what!  It looks like this all the time.  The ironing board is always up and the top of it stays full.
Fabric is always on the floor, strings of thread all over the floor.
Kitties getting into everything.  See these two culprits...

No matter how hard I try I still have a mess....but it is a lovely mess.

I'm hoping I can get my sewing room together for Karen's Where Bloggers Create II
Karen has a lovely blog called "My Desert Cottage."
If you don't know her, go over for a visit
and while you are there check out this event that will take place in June.
Ooh, that's only a little over a month away, I had better
get organized.  Help!!

It's great you have a whole room to create in, Sissie! I just have a small portion of my garage, but it works for me {for now}. I've been fixing up my little area, too, for Karen's linky party in June. You're right though ~ fabric and ruffles make for a pretty mess!

You give the best advice! Anything you tell me to do turns out so lovely so I will see your friend here soon!

You always have the best stuff over here! I just feel happy when I stop by!

Well, I don't think any creative space is every neat and tidy! It may be for one fleeting moment . . . .

I knew your studio/craft room would be pretty. You surround yourself in pretty and that is a lovely way to be. You will do fine in Karen's party. I really enjoyed seeing every ones little places last year!

Love your new header btw.

Oh Sissie! That is not a mess at all! I see a lovely vignette of pretty things :-) Even when you think you are messy you are still creative!!
Now my room on the other hand is a whole nuther story and is not for public viewing :-)
I have a dear friend who is a neatnic and sent her a couple photos that I knew would shock her and she said she almost fainted HA!!! But its my creative clutter and I've decided not to fight it anymore :-)
And what a pretty selection of vintage laces with the ruffles!! Love it!!
Thank you for sharing your mess - hehe

Hi Sissie:
If only my studio were your "chaotic" style! Your space is positively dreamy. I'm still trying to wrangle the mess here at Brynwood. To think, I only have until June 19th to make it worthy of presentation! Guess I'd better get hustling.

Hello Sissie, So funny, help is on the way! Your room is beautiful and you have to have one place where you are allowed to create, so it gets a little messy, that ok! Listen to me...I have a room with the same problem, I clean it and I turn around and the mess is right back. I give up! Thank you for visiting and leaving your kind comment on my "My "TWEET" Tablescape Thursday", it was so much fun designing this table. I'm really into birds this year and I love the yellow and blue in this tablescape.

Have a great day!

I don't see any messes at all! I just see beautiful things lying about. :) My plan is to make one wall in our tv room my creative space but haven't found a desk just yet. It will be so fun to see everyone's creative space when Karen's party starts. Have a fabulous Friday! Tammy

Girl, if you call that a mess, please don't look in my office. I guess mine is a natural disaster in that I am just naturally messy!

Well Sweets, I really like your mess MUCH better than I like my mess. I wish my mess would look like that :)))

Now you know I'm late in wishing you a Happy Birthday and that's okay because I really had good intentions...

1. I wanted to wait a day or two so that I could be nosey and read every one else's comments ;)

2. I didn't want you to be on the computer checking all the comments since you should be out celebrating.

3. I didn't want to disturb you as you opened all of your presents. Which, where are they by the way??? I'm so nosey, I want to see!!!! ;)

4. I couldn't come and visit because I would have eaten all of your Birthday cake. Yep...I sure would have. and the ice cream too.

5. And...lastly, I was feeling a little "under the weather" and I would have felt soooo bad if you would have caught the sniffles and been sick on your big day! ;)

So Happy Birthday dear Sissie!!!!! I hope you had a WONDERFUL DAY!!!

Sending Birthday hugs and kisses your way!

ps...I'm feeling better now. Is there any cake left???

Where's the CAKE?

Lordy! If ever my 'studio' (chuckle, to say the least) ever EVER looked like yours in beauty .. I'd faint! Beautiful, feminine ...

I'm emailing you.

Miss Sissie.
I just need to take a moment and tell you how I think you are just adorable. You are frilly and feminine and fun. I wish you lived next door, but I think my husband would go stark raving mad because I'd buy everything you put in your shop. LOL.
Studios are just messy. Most of the time. I only clean mine up when I've finished one project and begin a new one. SO . . . it's messy pretty much always. OH WELL! I love it, and I don't think I could function in there if it were pristine. It is a work in progress!
You have so much energy - could you plz package some up and send it to me. I have so many projects that need to be finished . . . and not enough hours in the day to get them done.
Love the cats . . . something about listening to purring when you are working . . I miss it
Have a wonderful, sweet weekend my friend! You are just too fun.
Hugs! Karen

I know what you mean about not much time until we have to show the world our work rooms. I thought that's what an ironing board was for, tp hold all my projects in waiting.

Dear Sissie,
Your room is gorgeous, and not a mess at all! Everything is so lovely! Your kitties are so sweet! I love the laces and ruffles on your ironing table! A beautiful mess indeed! Lovely photos as always! Have a beautiful weekend! Love, Paula

Sissie,
You better get that ironing board & stuff picked up so my room is nice & cozy for me when I come to visit. You can leave that lace out tho, what a nice little welcome gift that would be! LOL I was just looking at your new banner, do you realize that 2 of the pillows on the top left are mine now! woohoo, my pillows are famous! Lisa

Sissie,

It seems to me that i always have boxes and tubs of things on the floor in mine.

They seem to multiply when I am not looking!!

Thanks for the heads up on the upcoming Craft/Sewing Room party!!

And I think yours is just lovely!!

I think I may just crawl up and take a nap on that bed..it looks so soft. And all of those trims practically have me drooling...yum! I think if your craft space is too neat, you aren't spending enough time crafting! Sometimes my mess actually inspires me to make something just by seeing how things fall or lay together in a pile. Hey...that's my excuse and I am sticking to it! Have a good weekend!

Hugs ~ Angie

Well, I missed your birthday, but I didn't miss your birthweek, so Happy Birthweek Sweet Sissie, I know you're still celebrating. Break out another cake and enjoy!

I only wish the clutter and chaos in my studio looked as pretty as yours. I only wish I could look around and see ribbon, lace and pretty fabric. It's even worse here at my new home, I've taken all the boxes that haven't been unpacked and shoved them in here. Feel like I'm working in a storage unit, lol.
