Burlap and Ruffles....two of my favorite things!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I just finished making this very pretty pillow, with burlap and ruffles, a few of my favorite things.  I couldn't believe I found burlap in pink or pinky peach....I couldn't get the girl to cut it quick enough so I could get outta-there and get to sewin!
Ooh, I think it's purdy.
Look how good the color matches my entryway rug......makes me wanna keep it instead of putting it in my etsy shop.
I've got to stop wanting to keep everything that I make or find....
Are you that way too?

Had to get this lovely set from Stephanie at Miss Minnie's.
I think it is so sweet.  Wonder what was kept  in the "secret" jar????

Just had a late lunch with my handsome son.  We had pizza at Tony's Pizza.  Our favorite pizza place.  I had a veggie pizza with a little bit of pineapple thrown in (yummy).  Little Mr. Sissie ( all 6 foot 5 inches of him)  had a pepperoni and cheese.  The crust on Tony's pizza make you want to eat the plate....it's that good.
So now, I'm stuffed and need a nap!  I know, I know, bad girl, but I'm gettin old you know and I get a lot of exercise trying to
avoid exercise!!

~~hugs~~

You have to keep that pillow, Sissie! It goes so well in your house! Or, at least, make a second one to go in the shop. : ) I didn't know burlap came in colors either. I guess I should keep my eyes open when I'm in a fabric store.

Good Gracious Alive..can't get over the lucious color of the burlap you found. Now Sissie..you just might want to consider keepin' this one because I'll need to know precisely where to find it when I come to snatch it up. Ha ha But seriously..the color just makes this one so unique, and besides it looks sensational in your entryway! Girl..you need to keep it for sure! At least until you get tired of it..then SEND IT TO ME! Ha ha ha

Blessings, Love & Tuesday Sunshine, Terri

Hello Miss Sissie! What a sweet little pillow! I wouldn't want to part with that either. At least you have a good excuse for keeping it - looks perfect in your entry. I just keep things without having a place for them - SHAME!
How wonderful that you were able to enjoy lunch with your son. Says a lot about a young man that he makes time for his Momma!

Gorgeous pillow! I LOVE that set . . . just pondering the "secret" makes it worth having. It was probably opium. LOL!

Pizza out with your son is well worth it -- life is too short. Glad you went and enjoyed yourself.

Don't you dare get rid of that pillow. If you do, you have to let the rug go with it cause to do otherwise is a mortal sin!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful is not a good enough word here:)

Sissie,
Leave it to you girl to find pink burlap! No way?! What an awesome juxtaposition. (how bout that .50 word)! That is just so you Sissie, rough & tough & humble yet pretty, girlie & sweet. And BTW, it's only 9am here but you got me craving pizza. Lisa

That is a gorgeous pillow, Sissie! It does go perfectly in your entrance way. You'll have to make yourself one too. The little jars are so cute; don't blame you a bit for getting them! Isn't eating out with your son fun? I don't get to do that very often. Two of my boys are off Island and my oldest son who lives near by is a very busy man. I must make a date with him! After all, Mother's Day is coming up on the weekend! Speaking of weekends, hope you have a nice one and Happy Mother's Day!

Blessings,
Sandi

The curtains are pink with teacups and saucers and roses on them. I made them last year. Love that pink!:) Yes, we can never have enough pillows! You do a beautiful job with yours. I forgot to say how I love the little rosettes you made too! So glad you found pink burlap. It is always a delight to visit you!!! Love and hugs, Paula

They seriously make pink burlap?! I am going to have to hunt some down I think! I can think of a few kind of secrets to keep in that pretty little jar!

Lynn-Teacupstitches said...

Another beautiful creation Sissie! A Ying Yang contrast of burlap texture and the soft ruffles!
The vanity set is so sweet! I think if you open the Secret bottle and quickly whisper a secret into it and recap quickly, your secret will be forever safe!
Thats my theory anyway :-)
