Do you love white?

Hi Bloggerettes!  I am a big fan of the all white bedroom.  I've tried color and I always feel like something is missing or something is just not right.  So, all white is what I love.
I also like things painted white, like this old french provencial side table....remember this style?  I found it at Habitat, painted it
white and shabbied it up a little and there ya go.

A very pretty cottage table at Miss Minnie's

I am liking this yellow desk at Miss Minnie's even
though, in my opinion, it would look better in white.

Check out this fabulicious vintage wicker
table painted white...

Do you love white, or are you all about color?

~~hugs~~

You know, Sissy, when you do white it looks Gorgeous. When I do all white...it's another 'G' word....Ghastly or Ghostly or Gawful or GwashedOut...that's a new word...yep, just made it up! So I guess I'll have to say this GRIT is all about COLOR! You keep doin' WHITE...you're sooooo good at it!

Do I love white?!! Yes, oh yes! Some day my dream is to live in a home full of white beadboard walls! With an all white bathroom and an old fashioned clawfoot tub! Now, I love our home, but dear hubby put up lots of cedar on the walls thru out our home (1980's style), before I came on the scene. He loves wood, I love painted wood! Ha! Love all of your beautiful whites!

Hey Sissie!

I LOVE white! When I first married we lived in an apartment that had white carpet and white walls. We bought a white couch and white curtains and I loved it! It was calming. I wish I could have all of that white again but unfortunately with 2 kids ages 12 and 6 there is no way I can have white until they grow up and move out! hehehe

Hugs,
Angela

Hi Sissie, Yes, I do love white, especially white furniture, but I gotta have my pink in there too (and some pretty green). You know me, lol :)

Love the pretty furniture you have shown us :)

Have a great evening my friend, warmest always, Brenda

I love an all white room and it's definitely your style.

As for me, I couldn't pull it off, for one I'm all about COLOR and most importantly how to keep an all white room/house clean!! Nope, can't do the white glove test here, LOL

It is very calming and relaxing to have white and creams. Well, until you have to clean them!!!

See Sissie...the problems is, I need a multi wing house. That way I could have all the styles and colors that I enjoy. I do love the white shabby chic look, but my hubby not so much. When we moved to this home, it was Old World...darker colors....which I also love...I am very fickle...I love it all!

Hey Sissie, I love colors. But when I see all your white, I love white, too!! I just need about 3 or 4 houses to have all the styles I love. Have a great day Smiles, Donna

I love your whites and they all look so beautiful in your home. I'm more of a color gal. I have always been drawn to earth tones. But I have to say after seeing all the beautiful shades of white that I see posted for WW, I'm thinking more white in my house wouldn't be a bad thing.

I love white and cream. I like to mix the two. Color scares me! Sometimes I'll a little pop here or there, but generally, I end up taking it away not long thereafter! I am drawn to icy blues and sagey greens though. I consider them both neutrals and mix them in!

Your white bedroom is gorgeous!

I like color, but I do like white, too. I like seeing white in other people's homes, like your bedroom, Sissie! Not too much color, not all white ~ I need a happy medium!

Oh Sissie...you know I adore all of your beautiful white and there is a huge part of me that would love to have a home with that serene and tranquil color scheme but...I am a color girl! I adore color...the sofa in my family room is apple green and the one in my living room is red. Yep...I am a color girl!

I will be coming back again and again to enjoy your white...so keep it coming!

Enjoy!
Cathy

Hi Sissie, thanks for stopping by. I do love the look of white, but isn't very practical in this dusty country we live in. Plus, two messy boys and a hairy cat wouldn't bode well for it either. Maybe one day -- in years to come. Lots of lovely treasures in your previoust post. You always share your beauty with the world. Blessings, Tammy

I love white bedlinen, especially the beautifully embroidered antique French linens. Can't beat a bed all done in crisp whites. Having said that, during the day, I do like to put eiderdowns or Durham quilts on top.

I love white, but I can't have white bedding because muddy paws and black animal hair clash with it.

I love the little table you got at Miss Minnies and the yellow would definitely look better white.

But I really love 'fabulicious'. Did you make that up? It should be a word!!

Hey Sassie! oooops, I mean Sissie! ;)

Girl, are you sure you have a Mr. Sissie up in that house with all that white and those fancy frills? I just can't believe that...are you sure it was your anniversary and those roses came from him? Well, if it is true, he's a keeper as I ain't ever seen a frilly house as beautiful as yours with a MAN in it! hahahaha!
Happy Anniversary Diana!!! :)

I'm loving those hydrangeas (my fav flower in the whole wide world) and as for that Victorian terranium...to die for! Can you imagine some dried and faded bunches of hydrangeas placed in there? oh...the possiblities are endless girl...that was a great buy!

Well, now since I'm all jealous, I'm ending my blog hopping for the morning here. I can't bear to see any more beautiful things...you've totally helped me reach my max before finishing my first can of Dr. Pepper! :)))

Have a wonderful WONDERFUL Memorial weekend!!!

Hey there, I love the way YOU do white. I'm sort of joining the crowd, white here would be gray in no time. But I definitely am moving toward more neutral colors and have a sore back to prove it! I always love seeing what you have at Miss Minnies. Love that white "cottage" Eastlake table!

Debra

Sissie, I know I should be answering your question white or color, but instead just have to comment on a new word FABULICIOUS! I just love your vocabulary. Yup I am afraid that I have to start using this word too. Again I have to ask, do you charge royalties?

Hi Sissie,
I, like you, can NEVER get enough white....I especially love how white seems to bring out the wonderful detail in old wood pieces.
Have a happy day!

I have one question — can you come to my little house and bring your paint brush?

Thanks for the advice on the paint, I'm going next week to get both. I have a chair I thought I would start with first. If I don't mess that up too much, I'll move on to the bigger pieces. Wish me luck.

Hey my sweet Sissie girl,
There you go, showing my bedroom again. Guess what, I have that same french provincial side table. Love it. Love that wicker desk too. Want to see a better pic, more close up, of the botanical behind the bed. And to answer your question....Yes, I love me some white. But I always have to throw in a touch of black. And lately burlap. Specifically, burlap pillows made by a phenomenal pillow maker! Lisa

Hi Sissie! Oh, I love white but I also like color! I don't think my hubby would like all white and I think I'm too silly for all white! Colors seem to make me pop! :)
