Thrifty Finds

Hi Bloggerettes!  I sure hope that everyone is having a great weekend!  There were oodles of yard sales in my area but, I had company so I didn't get to go!

I did manage to pick up a few things though.  Like this copy of
Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic book...

Even better than Rachel's book is the table it is
sitting on!  I found it already painted and ready to go
at a local thrift store...

I like collecting vintage silver hand mirrors and I hope to
hang them on the wall when I have a few more.  I was lucky to find one with a matching brush and grabbed it up real fast!

Be sure and sign up for my giveaway.  I will announce the winner on
Saturday, June 5.

~~hugs~~

One of my closest friends for many, many years is a hairdresser for the studios. She specializes in period pieces and I remember many years ago when the two of us would hit all the stores in Hollywood looking for vintage pieces such as these. We had such a great time and found some gorgeous pieces. Wonder where they are now? Let's go raid her house!

I have a smaller version of your fish that I love. Sometimes I use it as a creamer, lol.

Love the table! The sales here were a bit of a bust. The weather was awful. The only thing I bought was some linen napkins for 5 cents each. I was disappointed, i so looked forward to some good sales this weekend. Maybe next time!
