Thrifty Finds and Giveaway Winner

Hi Bloggerettes!  Time to announce the winner of my giveaway.....
it's Marty at A Stroll Thru Life.  Congratulations Marty you may choose either one of the burlap runners.  Email me with your address.  For those of you who know Marty, you know what a wonderful person she is and that she has creative skills over the top!  She can turn a plain, ordinary cloche or a blank table into something magical.
Be sure and stop by her blog and say hello.

I didn't get to many yard sales this weekend.  Seems as though everyone is staying inside with all this mean heat.  I did find a few things at the thrifts.
Found this at a sweet little antique cottage nearby.  She has a yard full of good stuff and the inside is incredible.
This grain sack was calling my name.  She was using them as chairback covers, and I just had to have one.
I stuffed mine with a pillow insert and I love it!
Another great find was this...

"To shine, or not to shine....that is the question."

I love finding these valet clothes hangers.  This one got the heirloom white treatment, shabbied and embellished with a few ribbons and bows...
I usually sell these to Mom's for their little girls rooms.
A great place to hang a little pink hat.

I want to thank everyone who entered my giveaway. I will be having another giveaway soon, so stay tuned.

I'm linking up with Linda's Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays at Coastal Charm.
Be sure you go there and check out all the great finds.

Love the grain sack and the hanger stand reminds me of the one my dad used to have. He'd lay out his suit and tie and on the tray he would put his watch, cufflinks, wallet. I wonder if he still has it. I don't think so as I don't recall seeing it when I go over . . but I'll have to ask him!

Sissie, I say don't shine! Is that valet clothes hanger a chair? or just a standing thing! I have seen chairs, but never anything else. That is a great idea to shabby it up!

Debra@Common Ground said...

Yea for Marty! That silver tray is just amazing, and I have to say, I just like to see silver all shiny, let it show itself off! That valet hanger and grain sack are both wonderful finds! Stay cool, Missy.

I guess I'll be a grown-up & say congrats! LOL Since I already have a Sissie shrine in my library I don't need to be totally selfish. What a beautiful gift she won. I miss you Sissie! My kids are really cutting into my blog time lately. Their 5th birtday is Friday, school is starting. You know, the craziness of life. But I had to take some time to come see what you've been up to.
