Fun creating and thrifting!

Bonjour Bloggerettes!  I'm practicing my french, (je pratique mon francais)!  Pretty good um? (um assez bonne?)   Anyway, I got inspired and made these pillows.

I love embroidery on pillows, don't you?  And when it's in french, it looks even better! Qui?

I worked on my booth for several hours this morning.  Along with three of the other booth owners we fluffed, changed, moved, dusted
and weeded out stuff.  It's also a fun time.  We usually put on some music and dance around and act silly.  It's great girl time.

See the jester head, found her at a thrift store.  She's perfect for my booth.
I also love my "ooh la la" sign from Marsha at Sassy Mini Dolls.
Makes a great prop.

My booth wall had a million pin holes in it and looked awful.
No time to paint so I took some music sheets and tacked them up.
Darn, I wish I would have gotten a better photo of the black crows.

Here's my yard sale find of the day!   Made me stop dead in my tracks!  A huge bag of trims, lace, ribbon and stuff....(score!)

The more I went through it, the better it got!
Died and went to heaven I tell ya.

So, all and all I had a really nifty, thrifty weekend which

Everyone have a good week and get out there and create something
wonderful.  Then blog about it!

~~hugs~~

Sissie, I'd have had you down on the ground fighting for that bag o' lace if I'd have been with you! ;-) But I did find a cache of hundreds of MOP buttons, vintage ones, in a quart jar of mixed buttons! Good scores, girlfriend!
And...did you do that satin stitched words? Absolutely beautiful hand sewing!!

It looks like a whole bundle of heaven! I had to do some shuffling in my booth today too. Whenever a big piece of furniture moves in, it's time to rearrange!

You, my dear could get so fancy with all that lace. Pretty! I'm attracted like a magnet to lace too. I once visited Belgium and I felt like I had been swept away to the land of lace. Your booth is amazing!

My little old booth is doing pretty darn good. Sold $600 in August and it's climbing for Sept. too! I'm thrilled! Sold that vintage retro red/white diner table and chairs. My husband has all his boy toys in there with me right now but they are selling well. Eventually he'll move over or out and I can make it fancy and frilly like you!
Love you my Sissy friend.

Hi,
My Mom was a beautiful seamstress. I can barely sew on a button. But I learned a lot about sewing from her. So as a non-seamstress, I love to buy bags of goodies especially lace at estate sales & just like your beautiful blog...I just look & admire & feel good. Thanks for sharing...monah
