One Hot Auction!

Hi Bloggerettes!  Oh the things we do for the love of junking!  Like going to an auction in a dirty old pack house and staying five hours.
It was 90 degrees in the shade and no breeze, but boy-oh- boy the deals were flyin!!  I was one hot mama!  Just look what I got!
This pretty little baby went straight to my booth.
She was already painted!!!!  And just look at those sweet
key holed drawers....

And just when I thought I would die from the heat,
I saw this pink mirage and it turned out to be real!
Get a load of this hot pink cutie....

I'm hoping my booth will clear out a little and I'll set it up.
Don't you just love it!

I've had a few of these chairs just hiding away in closets waiting for some tender love and care.  So, when I found this fabric at Walmart....yes I said Walmart, for $1.50 per yd, I recovered  the chair and gave it a pillow.  She is now very happy.

Doesn't this fabric look vintage?
I hurried back and got the rest of the bolt, couldn't help myself,
I know you understand, don't you?

One more find to show you and I'll let you go.
This mirror is that heavy plastic stuff and it was ugly gold!
Now look at it....

Hope someone likes it as much as I do and takes it home.

I'm linking up today with Linda's Coastal Charm Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays!......I know it's not really Tuesday, but hey,
this is blogland, we can make it anyday we want.

Be sure to go over to Linda's and see all the good stuff
hauled home, spruced up and  handmade by our Bloggerette Sisters

~~hugs~~

Hi Sissie,
You sure are one dedicated thrift hunter! I don't think I could have lasted 5 hours in that heat! But the dresser and bed, they are awesome! And I really love your white mirror (I am guessing it was Syrocco?). I love finding that stuff too and painting it up! Once painted, you would never guess it's plastic! Great job! Oh, and your chair is gorgeous! Love the fabric, you have such a good eye!

If you'll hang at an auction in 90 degree heat...remind me never to get in your way when you see something you want! Girl...that is dedication or crazy at it's best!
Love your deals especially that bed. I hope you sell a bunch too 'cause I want to see it set up and dressed up a la Sissie!
Debbie
P.S. I kept thinking of Wimpy saying "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!"...don't ask me why...I just did!

Well alrighty my little shabby white guru. You'd be right proud, as I've been giving myself a perky pick-up and painted my dining room table and chairs white, and had paint left over, so went for a book shelf and then an end table and am now waiting on them to get "chippy". Thanks for your inspiration. Love, Mollye

You just generally rock at everything girl! That pink jenny lind bed? Amazing.

There's only one Walmart left in my town that carries fabric, and that might be toast after the first of the year....so I'm grabbing up my utility fabrics right quick!

Seriously, you got that fabric at Walmart? The Walmart nearest to me doesn't offer fabric, but one in Boise does. I love this!!!
