She's Got Legs!!!!

Hi Bloggerettes!  Well I finally finished painting my sweet antique gate leg, drop leaf table.  She turned out pretty good, but painting those legs wasn't fun.  She just wouldn't stand still, she was ready to party!
So we are dancing on over to Debra's Vintage Inspiration Friday and
cuttin loose!!

Ooh Honey, you make your Mama proud!
Thanks for the tip Rebecca!  I rubbed candle wax in the folds and the leaf folds easily!

Those legs just begged for some shabbiness!

She got legs.....

I'm headin over to Debras, and I hope to see you
there for the party!

Oh, here are some flowers for you that I just finished arrranging!

~~hugs~~

Good Morning Sissie Sweetie...
She's GOT legs. Beautiful legs. Oh you have so inspired me. I have an old table, it is stained dark, and I have never liked it. What did you paint yours with? Mine needs a coat of white, and then sand a little to show some of that dark through. Please let me know what color and brand you are using. It is SO pretty, and I will have to send you pics of mine. It to folds down and has the leg pieces underneath that turn.

Love the bouquet too. You brought such happiness to your blog today. Hope you are well and that it is cooling off in your neck of the country. It was 99 yesterday and believe me that 10 degrees made all the difference in the world.

Have a gorgeous day today. See you tomorrow for Pink Saturday. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I wish my legs looked as good at my age as hers!
Gatelegs are one of my favorite style's of tables. They will go anywhere, at any time and never fail to "hold" their own weight!

p.s. funny thing is, I have a small drop leaf table my grandmother bought me yeeaaaaarrrs ago, and just finished stripping the top down to the bare wood and then pasting that, but left the legs their creamy white and I'm loving the farm country look!!! But, I keep thinking it needs something...like a white ruffle runner maybe?!!!!! teeheehehehee

She does have gorgeous legs indeed! I have a new respect for people that paint furniture. I just painted one of my tables and I had drips galore! I always love seeing all the treasures you find. :)

Your gate leg table looks great. I have one that is shabby naturally, but I really need to do something with it. I should blog about it and ask for suggestions because part of me likes the way it looks (especially the legs) but I know it needs to be redone. Your flowers are beautiful, I love the colors.

Have a great weekend!

That table is great and it would work in so many places because of it's size. I laughed out loud when you said you spray painted the ballet shoes, they are cute though.
