Oh, the things we do for Junk!

Hi Bloggerettes!  The fall is a busy time for me with fluffin up my booth and staying on the trail lookin for good stuff.  Speakin of looking for good stuff....

Yesterday, my friend Peggy and I stopped at an old barnlike building to see if they had any good stuff.  An old man came out with the keys, opened it up and said, "you ladies just take your time and I'll be over here on the porch if you need me. One thing though, you gals mighten want to watch out for them there copper heads.  The dang things are always a pesterin me and I thank I done kilt everyone of em, but I mighten missed one or two.  There mite be a chicken snake or two."  Chicken snake, chicken snake???? Get that vision out of my head!
Now you would think that would scare us away now wouldn't you?
Nope not us because we are REAL TRUE JUNKERETTES!
In fact, I let Peggy go first cause that's how scared  mannerly I am!!

Dang, we were feelin like the American Pickers!!! We piled up our junk, er, a, treasures, paid the guy and loaded up. On the way out he uttered a few more words of wisdom.  "Ya'll come back anytime.  My wife is a just gettin over her broken nose.  She done went an falled there on em steps, she ain't quite as spry as she ustabe!  She'll git ya what ya need the next time!"  LOL, LOL, LOL!!!

Well, our stuff didn't really look this great but we did find some good things.  I'll show them to you later after we clean off all the dirt and mud!  Oh the things we do for love!

Okay, on to better things.  Check out these sweet shades of blue....

Most of this fabric is from Hobby Lobby which I bought on my trip to West Virginia.  This one looks vintage, don't ya think?

Okay, I'm outta here!

Thanks so much for stoppin by....I love ya to pieces!!

~~hugs~~

Oh it sounds like such fun. Mannerly, oh that is classic. My girlfriend and I met a vendor who invited us to his barn and we did not have the snakes to contend with but there were lots of holes in the floor to "watch out" for. We had fun, found good treasures and a memory for old age.

You are one brave lady Sissie! Copper heads really scare me for sure. I hope you had a stick in your hand and made a lot of noise when you went in there and scared them out! I would've done it too though. Love your pillows!

Hope you had your hard hat on! If that pic was the actual barn you entered, I would have been more worried about it falling on my head than the snakes under my feet!! Can't wait to see your treasures! Love your pillows, esp the blue with the brown scroll-design! Have a great weekend!

Oh Sissie you must come and pick me up next time you go junking. I am master killer of rattlesnakes...known far and wide here 'n these parts(okay, not really, but I have killed two rattlesnakes in my lifetime) But I would face a third if it meant getting to the GOOD stuff! I cannot wait to see what you found.
I adore the blue pillows girl!!!
