Ruffles, bling and sissiefied....

Hi Bloggerettes!  What could be prettier than pink, ruffles, iron, bling and totally Sissiefied!!!!
The wrought iron candlelabra was black. I gave it the heirloom white treatment and then sanded it heavily to get some of the iron to come through.  I then added some crystals found at a yard sale.  The crystals were part of a very ugly light fixture that couldn't be saved no matter what!

This pretty pink pillow made of chenille and pink striped ticking was a nightmare to make (scream).  I got in a hurry and sewed the wrong sides together and had to remove the stitching and then I worked myself silly putting that ruffle on!  Why, oh why, do I put myself through this I say???????

Found this child's school desk in the "beat-up" section of Habitat.
It is made of iron with a wood top.  It was all rusted and a brownish/red color.  Sorry, but I got in too big of a hurry to transform it to take a before picture, but I think you can visualize ugly.
Now, it's got a new face.  Kinda cute, um?
All these are going to my booth.

I can't leave without showing you my grand niece's
Halloween doggie suit.  Isn't she the most adorable little doggie ever???

Be sure and check out all the goodies over there.

Okay, go out and make it a wonderful week.  Hope you find a treasure, get the deal of the century, create something beautiful, bake something delicious and smile at everyone you meet!

~~hugs~~

That candleabra is great. Love the dripping crystals. That pillow you made is wonderful. So sorry that it was difficult, but it sure does look good. And, what a sweet little puppie dog...

Your grand niece is so cute! I dressed up as a dog one Halloween, but I was never a cute little dog like her.

I've worked with chenille too. You're more patient than I am. I would have just cut it down and made a smaller pillow. Hate working with that stuff when you goof up. Looks like patience really is a virtue because your pillow turned out great.

I love anything with chenille....especially with the pink accents. Tres chic. But the doggie costume and that adorable little face made me smile. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Sissie, your grand niece is a darling, I just want to eat her up and your candelabra and pillow looks fantastic. I have two panels of some nice chenille that's in pink, but not sure what to do with it yet. I really liked what you did with your chenille pillow by adding the striped ruffle to it too.... So perfect! You got me thinking now...
