French Aubusson Rug...should it stay or go?????

Hi Bloggerettes!  I need your help.  I have a beautiful French Aubusson handwoven rug.  It has  been in hiding underneath the bed in the guest room. I mentioned it to Amy at Maison Decor and she suggested I bring it out and play around with it and that's just what I did!  Thanks Amy!

I'm really liking the pink toile panels and I thought a little more pink couldn't hurt.  The rug has pinks and creams in the colors.  My question is, do you like it or not?

I plan to place it underneath the dining table and chairs but for now I am just trying it out to see if it's gonna work or not.  And, I know there is no better place for decorating advice than right here on my blog!
Please excuse the wrinkles, it's been stored away for a long time.
Should it stay or should it go??
Don't hold back, let me know what you think~

~~hugs~~

Hi Sissie! I think it's gorgeous and would probably look wonderful under the table. I saw one at the thrift store and got all excited but then upon closer inspection it had way too much lavender in it and I knew it wouldn't work. Yours I would have snatched up in a second! Good lock! Theresa xoxo

Hi Sissie,

Well Sissie, it looks like the majority of bloggers want you to keep it under the table. I have to agree..it gives texture to the room, it warms it up, it gives you more to play with and it anchors the room.
Then when you tire of it....take it out. Easy peasy.
That's what I would do.

YES .... I think, especially during winter months, it would be perfect. That is, unless there is another rug close by that would clash. Merry Christmas, little missy.

I would guess if you are asking...you really would like it to go...otherwise it would be a moot subject.
TRULY...you need to decide that. Is a family heirloom....??.....and to how long have you had it ..and if it still goes with your current decor. And do you STILL like it ???
WHY was is stored away in the first place ?
That might be your first question to ask yourself..and go from there.

HA...you asked for my honest opinion...and I am KNOWN for those..especially if asked.

MERRY CHRISTMAS,

Rose
