Things are looking merrier around my house!

Hi Bloggerettes!!  I've been trying to get some Christmas decorating done and have managed to finish the mantel.  Wanna see.......
I just added some greenery and bling to my already existing
collection of mercury glass candleholders...

Added some sprigs of red, white and green to an existing french basket...

Added a holiday pillow and some shiny ornaments...

A cloche (thinking of Marty), with a Christmas tree candle and a little glittered deer found at the thrift store....

I'm a lazy decorator.  I believe in adding Christmas decor to exisiting decor.  A bowl of ornaments, a sprig of greenery and some twinkle lights.......an instant Christmas!

One thing about Christmas decorating....it gives us something to blog about!!  Next up will be my Christmas tree.  I hope to have it decorated in time for Christmas.  Geeze, I've only been working on it for four days now!!!

~~hugs~~

Cissy, your mantel is beautiful and I agree with your Christmas decorating philosophy. My challenge is that I always want to add just one more thing (to those treasured items that fall into the realm of family and personal tradition). But hey, just one more thing won't hurt, will it? :)

Your home is so lovely and such a great palette to just add the bling! Looking a lot like Christmas!

I had to make my heart be still when I saw all of that mercury glass! What a great collection! And how pretty your mantel looks. I, too, use much of my regular decor that I can't bear to put away and that lends itself to the season. Less to put away!!

Have a great week!

I adore your mercury glass candle sticks anyway, but the greenery sets them off so well! It makes them POP even more.

I'll pay your airfare if you come and help me decorate my home...and I don't mean holiday decor, either...I mean every day decor. :)

Sissie that mantel is beautiful!I love how fresh and sparkly it looks. I'd love to see how you do your bookcases on the sides. I have that feature in my living room and it takes just as much effort to coordinate them or the whole thing looks not as great. I used to have mine filled with books, but they can look too heavy. Now have been playing around with it as display space....what about you?
