Inspired Creating

Hi Bloggerettes!  I just looked at my follower count  and I cannot
believe that I have 881 followers!  Thank you all so much, I feel so
honored and blessed. So, I am counting down to 1000 starting next week and will be offering lots of giveaways.  So stay tuned!

I love looking at French Larkspur's beautiful blog.  She featured
decorative pots, using peat pots, which I believe she said she found in Somerset Magazine.  I loved the idea, so I stole, copied it using my own decorative twist.  Pretty cute, um??

Did you notice in the Pottery Barn catalog, the book bundles at $39. !!! ouch!!!  We bloggers know that we can do better than that, so we make our own.

A few old books from the thrift store, some images and vintage lace plus some jute twine and there ya go!

Would you like to see a sweet shabby cabinet that Peggy found and we put it in our booth?
We sanded it too death and underneath all the varnish was a lovely old patina.  We gussied her up with some lovely pieces and here she is waiting on a new home.

Just look how this gorgeous antique lace lovingly wraps itself around her!

It's time for me to go blog hopping.  I know that inspiration awaits me with every click of the key board and that my head will be whirling with more creative ideas, but isn't this why we all love it so much!

~~hugs~~

I can believe it Sissie, everyone wants to know what your up to! You fill us with as much inspiration as you find on here! I love the peat pots and when I saw them in Somerset I thought, hmmmm I need to remember this one, good thing Tracie and you reminded me! The cupboard is wonderful, I bet it won't last long in your booth. The snow is falling like a snow globe here and so maybe tonight will be a quiet and creative night for me. Theresa xoxo

Oh the peat pots! So pretty! But I am crazy over that chest. I'm sure it would be a beauty painted, but it has such dignity, doesn't it?

Digging the peat pots (couldn't resist) I use them all the time...so delightful! Did you see PB's version of an advent using them? So versatile!

Also loving that lamp shade- I've been looking for one and forgot to check out Lowes, so thank you, maybe I'll finally find one I like or maybe even that one will work!

Good luck on your countdown to 1,000. WOOT!

Sissie, I saw those same peat pots today as well. Yours are adorable. I also love the contents. Spring flowers are hard to come by this time of year so your contents are a great alternative.

Sissie, great idea with the altered peat pots. Yes, PB's price on those book bundles is silly. I blogged about the same thing the other day. We bloggers know how to get those the cheap way.

Ha! Ha! Isn't it the truth...my head absolutely spins but I can't help myself! And I cracked up the first time I saw the coverless books for that much $$$. Really? People would pay for books that have their covers removed??? Who knew? Keep up the good work. Loved your peak pots. Great inspiration.
