Spring means change and Pink Saturday

Hi Bloggerettes!  Breathing in the fresh air of spring, watching the flowers bloom right before my very eyes, and loving the sounds of blue birds.  Ah, spring!  Nothing like it.  Makes me want to renew and redo everything in my house!

It's also Pink Saturday!  Be sure and stop by Beverly's and check out all the pink prettiness.  I've fluffed up my guest bedroom, just in case.  Thought you might enjoy seeing it again.  I know I've shown it before, but it's my favorite room in the house!

The headboard is an iron garden fence piece...
Um, I think I need a picture on the wall above the chair.

The bedspread is from the Mary Jane Linen Collection.  Their products are made from all natural cottons and organic materials.

I found this cabinet at Habitat and knew it would be perfect for storage in the guest room.  I have started a collection of decorative storage boxes, and I'm still working on it.
I painted it a soft pink.

This is a sneek peek at my current project.
I was so inspired by Amy at Maison Decor.  She painted a secretary that looks absolutely gorgeous.  Then there's Kim at Savvy Southern Style.  She has done some amazing furniture makeovers.
There are so many talented bloggers that have convinced me not to be afraid to change a piece of furniture.
So, here's step one of my Bombay Chest redo.....
Still needs glaze and some sanding.  I'm using a Benjamin Moore paint.  I'll give you the name of the color later.
I'll show you more when I've finished it.  Wish me luck!
Remember, I'm no Miss Mustard Seed.

Everyone have a beautiful weekend!

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Happy Pink Saturday Sissie Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. I love your guest bedroom, and that garden gate headboard is SO delicious. I love it. It is perfect with the BIG fluffy bed and all of your luxurious pillows. (Be still my little heart.) I love the pillows.

Your chest is going to be beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished product. I know it will be exquisite. I adore the piece that you found at the Habitat store. So perfect and those boxes are just the right touch.

Have a glorious weekend sweet friend. I have had blogger issues for months now. They stole my dashboard and all of the blog links along with. I have even tried going through Google Reader and can't see any there either. It has been quite frustrating, but I found you this Pink Saturday. I am so tickled to be able to visit.

Many hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry
